i rewatched rejects earlier and noticed tom had changed the title to "feat. Daniel Howell", aww. i'd have thought "first contact" sounds more like aliens, but who knows. maybe dan's alien dreams are finally going to come true in a tinder spon.

in other news...i'm disappointed...i thought there'd be more wimbledon posts (instagram, why didn't you force them to post at least five times) and i'm craving a gaming video...seems like i've been getting used to their new upload schedule and now i feel like it's been ages since there was new content

Hmm, Tom said the video is a brand deal and that he's been working on the script for two months. It could very well be a Tinder spon video, right? It looked like the sketch is called "First Contact", which would be fitting, and we already know that Tinder rejected one of his scripts.

It's most likely is the tinder spon video, since he mentioned that this was the 8th time him and Eddie wrote up a script to be approved. It took 8 times just for tinder to approve it. To give perspective, when Rejects 2 was (ironically) rejected, he said he had to move onto a fourth script. I can't imagine how annoying that must've been.
But, that being said, I really can't wait for the video! While it's not rejects 2, I'll probably really like it. Something about Dan and Tom working together just works to me? Maybe it's their humor or something.
Also, iwishiwasacasual, (I love your username, I relate too much) if you want an idea about how the comments from the phandom will be, I'd check the ones on Rejects and the bloopers for it if you haven't already. I don't really go back and read comments after first watching a video but when those videos came out, the phandom was just more talking about the video but also a strong demand for bloopers. I can't say there wasn't anything too cringe, there's always bound to be.

so, for the sketch that we're filming on monday we need about 20 to 30 extras, and when i need this many extras normally i would just tweet out "hey, doing a sketch, please give your contact details cause we need lots of extras and stuff", but because my co-star for this sketch is none other than mr. daniel howell i can't do that because even though i know that i have a very chill relationship with you, my audience, i don't know if someone who is very, very, very into dan howell could show up on set and make things very uncomfortable. i don't know if you've heard but he's kind of a big deal. so we're having to manually reach out to people that we know and trust and be like, please come, please don't make it weird.

thats interesting. It's kinda sad that that has to be a consideration.
Though I'm going to head cannon that the person they're preventing turning up is Sam the Surfer, who wants to kill Dan so he can have Phil all to his surfery self and Tom is being a bro and keeping Dan alvie

(obscure reference, that kinda reminds me of Ashens. When he was filming his film they needed two very specific props and they only had one, and they couldn't tweet to see if anyone had one because it was the focus of an entire visual gag sequence they didnt want spoiled, so they had to try and track one down covertly)

There will definitely be an alien because after they say they got final approval, Eddie (I think?) is on the phone saying "Yes, ideally the alien will be in a costume as well. Yes the alien needs to be in an alien suit of some kind" while Tom is holding his dog like a baby.

Also I'm sad because I was expecting a gaming video at some point today, though I guess with Dan being at his parents' followed by them going to Wimbledon followed by Dan theoretically filming the TomSka sketch today, it makes sense that they might not have had much time both at home. But also with Dan's liveshow it seems unlikely we'll get one tomorrow (though maybe we will) :[

It's squash - you mix it with water, so it's quite syrupy depending on how strong you make it. And its more syrupy than other blackcurrant squash. You can get bottles of it pre-mixed though and I THINK you can get bottles of fizzy ribena (I might be thinking of vimto though).

I like ribena, sugar-free is the one I normally get because I'm trying to stop drinking sugar regularly, but the strawberry one is nice too. Its also nice mixed with sparkling water or lemonade.

I was totally expecting a gaming video yesterday because I thought Dan would want to create as big a buffer as possible between the Tinder video and his liveshow in order to avoid talking about the video as long as possible. However, I realised there is actually quite a lot for him to talk about even without a new gaming video, what with Phil's latest video, Colin, Wimbledon, Tom's video and, like, the Spider-Man movie and surely something else I've forgotten about.

I had a dream about deppy for I think the first time ever, as I was lurking on here before I fell asleep in an hour long nap. The dream consists of me hanging out with them and them looking super happy together. Ignore this if you don't particularly want to read!

I don't know where we were, but we were sat in a circle on chairs, was pretty odd. Anyway! Phil was outside and he had these watercolour paints and he was excited because they were new and he thought they looked pretty untouched. We then bonded over the love of rubbers (erasers if you're not in uk, not sure if its a british word idk) for some reason. I was talking with Dan inside again and he was smiling at me calling Phil cute, and said he agreed. Dan then proceeded to tell me I should call my future dog Moschino because he had just bought something from that brand. He then said 'call it black, you like black don't you?' and I laughed very hard because I thought it was ridiculous, and he smiled and looked at Phil and like was tearing up with happiness. He was very emotional. He was just like watching Phil outside on the field with these paints and art stuff. Then he brought out these teeny tiny little boots like for babies/toddlers, they were kind of like black doc martens/timberlands and he had them in his hands, looked at Phil, then looked at me, and I was just looking at him almost crying because he looked so happy that he was having a kid with Phil. Phil then came in, took the shoes from Dan, smiled at me and said nothing, and they both walked away. Then I woke up and thought they had had a child.

Wow, that was dream, lishachi. I loved the bit about bonding over rubbers, and excitement for a paintbox sounds so Phil. They were driving a pedal taxi in a dream I had once, actually they were waiting on the taxi rank for someone to hire them, it was a funny situation for my brain to choose, anyway, especially as my dad had not long died and as a black cab driver, he hated those things. Never had much truck for the cute boys I liked, either, like Take That and Boyzone, called them all long haired gits.

Ooh, good scheming, fondsmiles. I haven't rewatched the golf videos, they're quite long and I don't quite get the popularity they have here. They're good, I just prefer things like baking and idk about favourite gaming vids. Donkey Kong, Portal and Halo were particularly funny, they were a long time ago now. Crossy Road was great, though, bossy Phil and cheeky, whiny Dan Dancing too, gotta love dancing boys. Heck, I like it all really, I'm easy to please most of the time.
