I am so trash but the fact the people at Guildwars were all excited to see Dan and thought he was nice makes me so happy
For that girl, I think people can be clear of mental illness but still struggle with mental health issues, like be in a bad place, struggle with their emotions or difficult situations etc. imo it is a bit dismissive to brush her actions as just "normal behaviour" of a young person a bit misguided.

He's had it since waaaaay before the vegan interest. But tbh it would be less ethical to throw it away just because it's real leather, because then the animal then died for nothing. I've spoken to vegans at length about this and what to do with previously owned leather and generally, it's considered fairer for the animal to continue using it's hide until it's unusable anymore. It doesn't make me side eye him that he's using it at all.
I loved him in the picture with the uncle haha I've been enjoying seeing him become gradually more sunkissed, freckles and all. Phil's healthy glow is even better than mine and I'm not pale so I'm somewhat jealous.

yeah... as someone who has developmental disorders, mental health disorders and obsessive tendencies ( life is great) it's definitely fair to say she needs more than time to mature or someone to say 'hey that isn't nice'. it's blatantly worrying behaviour.

I'm going to agree with jaej that while I don't believe in armchair psychology, and I apologize for using the word ''pyscho,'' a lot of teenagers are immature and attention-seeking but they don't resort to blackmailing YouTubers. I think it's fair to say that something else is going on here.

I'm too disgusted by the hackers to say anything about that BUT in other news:
I did some poking around the Twitter accounts of the guild wars people Dan was with yesterday and found this:
Guild Chat is a regular hour(ish)-long live stream of creators and gamers talking about gw2 and playing segments of it. Seems like they usually have a couple guests per show, it streams live on twitch and then is posted to the guild wars 2 YouTube account (http://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDCvo ... QEzlSTOfmO)
So it seems like many of you may get your dream of seeing Dan actually playing guild wars! I know literally nothing about the game besides what Dan has shared, but I'm looking forward to seeing this video. It's always great to see d or p in a new environment, and I especially love seeing Dan doing/talking about something he loves and is passionate about.

Ooh, Guild Wars chat stream thingy. I play GW2, though I haven't watched any of those for more than a minute or so as I'm not that into the game to listen to much about it. Watching the gameplay is tricky to see what's going on amongst all the coloured light flashing everywhere from the magic spells. I did a bit of stalking googling a while ago and he plays a Mesmer, the illusionist type of character with pretty pink spells, one of them shoots out butterflies.
Also edit: their Twitch channel is the one just called GuildWars2 in case anyone gets flummoxed by the many with similar names.

Hmm, this makes me wonder, did Dan film a dinof video with them? Last time he used the app, didn't he interview the cast of the hunger games? Seems pretty random to bring up their app unless ofcourse it was brought up when talking. But it would be pretty cool to see Dan interview the people he made a game with that he's pretty passionate about.

Dan's been following both of those women he played 7SC with on twitter since June/July of 2014, so it makes sense as to why he'd have felt comfortable going alone. One of them invited him to come visit back in December of 2015. It makes me happy to see him getting his fanboy fires stoked like that.

I decide to sleep more than my usual 5 hours and hell breaks loose in the stalkers world. Wow! Back in my day we would call "hack" finding the person's real myspace and sharing the profile pic I'm glad it turned out to be fake and that they don't really have any information.
And look, the one time I didn't expect D&P to be together doing cute date things, they prove me wrong. I'm always on the fence on finding it cute/romantic and not knowing how they can stand spending that much time together. But eh, whatever works for them

Yes! I haven't been in the phandom that long (and I believe this topic appeared for a while in the last thread) but it's fairly easy to see a pattern here : Dan most of times publicly uses the "we" "us", while Phil is more like "I" "me". Phil actively avoids to look at him in scripted videos, but act like a married couple in vlogs (watch any of PewPhan's recompilations in Youtube and you'll get what I mean). Hadn't it been for that couple at the cinema who bumped into them, we would've kept thinking they were in separate places and #phandivorced.

+1 for this. Some vegans choose to give away/sell their animal wares once they go vegan, but many others continue to use them & just refrain from buying them in the future. I'm also a former non-leather buying vegetarian (9 years!) who fell hard & fast out of that when I decided to re-enter the omnivore lifestyle (burgers & designer leather goods galore!), so I could never judge Dan harshly.
I have zero knowledge/interest in GW2 beyond what Dan has implanted in my head, but I'm 100% down to hear him talk about it for an hour with someone because I enjoy hearing Dan talk passionately about things he loves (minus Kanye... sorry).

Is Dan still trying to be vegan though ? He hasn't been talking about it since last year.... and he was wearing leather shoes for the Brits, wasn't he ?
Oh yeah he gave up a long time ago, I just meant that at the time he talked about how he was ethically against leather and to go from there to buying new designer leather backpacks is quite the big step. If it's an old backpack like daphenaxa and human says then that's a completely different thing obviously, it does look not-completely-new.

I am no help on that, to me it just looked like a nice bag of holding + 4. I was eying it to guesstimate how much rare loot he was carrying away from arenanet.
Maybe his long repressed urge to act out on his furry orientation won out over his concerns to how much animal skin was in all the products he's wearing
I'm looking forward to the guild wars chat. I've got a sense that gaming is one of those rare hobbies he is willing to share a bit about. He has basically agreed to soft-promo for gw 2 in exchange for some perks. He obviously follows some peeps who work there and frequents some streams by leading gw casters.
And there's the fact that he chose to do a awkward walking compilation supergaming documentary for the bbc.
The boy likes his games. It's very #relatable to me. Instead of going to a meet and greet of him I should probably ask him if he wants to go on a date wants to join my unlimited free pizza lanparty.

To be honest I don't think Dan actually likes anything ironically... I think he's the kind of guy who either loves things with everything he has or hates them. He just pretends like he likes things ironically so people don't judge him. I refuse to believe that he bought the leather t-shirt as a ''joke'' or that he learned all the words to High School Musical songs ''for the lulz.'' You're not fooling anyone Danny.

Here's another youtube gem i found through respectfully stalking all the people Dan's following on twitter. Dolan Dark. Seems to give quite some commentaries about youtubers and imo has some hilarious vids. I think it sort of typifies the 'gamer', 'old school problematic' humor they privately enjoy but sadly are censoring out on their youtube channels.

I love 50% Off, genuinely my favorite abridged series ever. I've watched it since the beginning (so since Free! was actually still airing because I was trash since the first episode suck it Danyul) and although the release of episodes is veeeery slow, it just never disappoints. Every time a new one comes out, I hope that Dan and Phil know of it's existence and are subscribed.

I mean... That's kinda what his 'Ironic appreciation' video is about. (Side note: I just rewatched and damn does he look good but I'm only appreciating him ironically, obviously.) I wouldn't say he's 'all or nothing' when it comes to liking things, though. There's always a middle ground and I think some (if not most) of the guilty pleasures might be there. Idk, that's my impression.
By the way, if he unironically likes Kanye as much as he says he does, I'm judging him a lot. (Nah, I don't care. But I'm still judging.)
