I thought it was a nice liveshow, he seemed happy and actually interested in being there. I cracked up when he was talking about the "we're-all-in-a-computer-simulation" theory and then lamented about his fails being beyond what a computer could come up with.

I got curious when he mentioned cinder toffee because I wasn't sure I remember what "cinder" meant, and it turns out we have the same thing here, just with a different name. So now I'm craving sponge toffee, thanks Phil.

They'd be dumb to move out of the UK, they have a better future there in terms of YouTube and other media* than in the US. Yeah they have a big fanbase in the US, but no one else there is waiting for them. Even YouTube Red gives them faaaaar less promo than they do with other projects. I guess if YouTube Red had launced in the UK at the same time as TATINOF like planned D&P would've done promo on UK radio and television like they did for the book, but it didn't and the USA can't be arsed to care beyond an LA billboard tbh. YouTube USA has their own stars to capitalize on, D&P are better off being among the top of the UK Creators than mid tier USA ones.

[offtopic]Sorry if I am annoying anyone but I am sooo excited for undertale week, I need to talk about it!! so just continue if you don't mind spoilers/already know whats going to happen + like to hear my 1 AM ramblings about it

- like I mentioned in the previous thread, it's going to be exciting to see their reaction to the guards as they have a sappy love confession scene and they will have to voice it. Will Dan use an extremely cheesy voice as compensation? Will he make jokes about us just wanting to hear that scene with them because most of us are giant phan trash? Is it going to be cute? Will they just be like: aawww I ship it and move on? who knows?
- really looking forward to the moment toriel comes back. Dan will probably scream 'goat mom' or something
- ASRIEL! For context: Asriel is the true identity behind flowey, but as a flower he can't feel love. After turning back to his true form, he is sorry for everything he has done and cries while a sad soundtrack plays and it's very emotional. There is more backstory to him though, this is just a basic description. I wonder if they will be real™ for a moment or not. I also hope that Phil speaks Asriel, since it would suit him well. There already was a short Asriel scene in their lets play (which Phil voiced) but I don't know if they will instantaneously make this connection, especially since they have so many breaks between each episodes.
- What are their thoughts on Asgore going to be? I mean, he did kill innocent children and could have done otherwise... Are they going to forgive him? I personally do think so but I am not sure what their first reaction will be.
- There is this moment where you have to either spare or kill flowey and if you spare him the first two times he threatens to kill everyone the protagonist and the player loves. Dan will probably stop and do a philosophical speech about mercy itself or something. That'd be great.
- Are they going to play the genocide route? Why, why not? A part of me doesn't think so. However, I have no idea
- General deep talk about the game. Dan is probably going to talk about it in one of his live shows and that would be brilliant. I don't know about Phil. Like a few of you already mentioned, he seems to use a defense mechanism when things get too deep™ (for example when he talks about death)
- that's all what I can think about for now, there are probably more cool moments to look forward to though

I watched this interview a while ago and I loved it as well. The host was very well informed! I love it when people actually know what they are talking about and don't see youtubers as "these weird people from the internet that teenager like and who somehow make a lot of money with that"

Its widely acknowledged that we get barely anything from Phil from an attraction point of view (to which the Attraction thread will attest - Phil's mentions are lesser both in terms of frequency and boldness). I don't think I've ever seen it speculated though that the reason for this is Dan's jealousy and the fact he could catch heat for such comments

I'd like to hope Dan is no longer so consumed by his jealousy, and that Phil can mention finding fictional characters and celebrities he'll likely never meet attractive. I don't think they will be moving out seperately. They can't even be in the same room without being within arms reach of one another, who says they will be able to function independantly at all?

I have to wonder if Dan Howell wakes up every day to a plan of how many people he can piss off/freak out within a 24 hour time frame.

this is literally why i don't think we have to worry about them moving apart lol i know they're adults but dan literally turns into a hot mess when phil is gone for more than like 2 days, whether it's mostly a joke for the internet or not. they eat breakfast together every morning and watch every single tv show together. i can't even imagine them living without each other. what would be the point of two houses when they do literally everything together from watching tv to events they go to?

we get dan talking about boys all the time these days but i'm here for phil talking about boys. dare we hope this is the beginning of phil getting us used to this sort of thing coming from him? it's most likely just a one-off thing he didn't think twice about saying, but i can dream.

This is definitely part of a trend that has already started, of Phil talking more openly about male attraction, though still being generally more subtle than Dan is currently, so it's easy for people to overlook or ignore.

i'll admit i haven't picked up on phil talking about men very often because he is very good at subtly saying something then moving on quickly. maybe i need to pay more attention lol idk i just feel like dan wears his heart on his sleeve more than he maybe even realises but phil is such a mystery. it makes me !!!!!! every time we get a new piece to the puzzle that is phil lester.

Dan's jealousy has been mentioned a few times over the last couple threads in different contexts, from this to it destroying other friendships. He is at least very aware that he's irrationally jealous, since he made an entire video about it, and I agree - I'd like to think that especially as he's gotten older, that awareness keeps him from acting on it too much, even if he can't stop it completely. I wouldn't like to think that Phil is actually afraid of Dan in any way that would limit what he does or says.

There's nothing out there showing they can function without the other, because they never do anything without the other. I swear Dan is sat on the couch behind Phil's computer during his LS. There was one Phil LS where he said he didn't know where Dan was and all I could think was "Horton hears a bitch-ass liar".

Someone mentioned upthread that it's kinda natural to think the end is near because Deppy both seem happy where they are...it can't last forever, so lets work ourselves up for when the bottom does fall out. Granted, Diva!Dan doesn't help.

Also, these two are too clingy to live less than a foot apart from one another. Phil needs someone to make breakfast for, the dear man.

Yeah that's more than possible, I was just saying its an interesting theory to add to the collection. In reality its probably a combination of things; these two ideas, amongst others, aren't mutually exclusive.

Basically these guys are soulmates and no way in hell do they not have an inkling of that. Do you know the verse "too good to get away" yea thats about them. I'm pretty sure they're the long lasting type that realize deep down that they are happiest with each other. No couple is perfect yet Deppy show me everyday how true love looks like. They glow around each other and if I was them I would do anything and try my damn hardest to not ever lose that. So I am hoping that means they get their asses moved into a nice house and start a family one day. Probably not this year, but next year. And to me that will kinda speak for itself how long they're willing to stay together.

The amount of hours I have spent discussing Jealous!Dan over chat when I should have been studying is frightening. I hope that with age his jealous side would dissipate? I was told not to hold my breath because Dan has staggering issues and they aren't going to vanish anytime soon. Sometimes, your issues make you who you are.

And to the person who mentioned they hoped Phil isn't afraid of Dan's jealousy? I don't think it's like that, because Phil may be bad at the maths and be a bit goofy, he's as invested as Dan is in this relationship and fear doesn't have any room.
