OK i have to say i loved that liveshow. It was hilarious. It put me such in a good mood. Idk man, I really love Dan he is so perf.

- that Pepe/white supremacy rant was so good and hilarious
- him messaging Phil about a nickname to know if it is offensive was also hilarious and incredibly endearing
- him still being delighted about that Russian translation of TATINOF (when someone mentioned Russia) was adorable
- the whole Onision thing was very well handled and his little "Am I really gonna do that right now?" was CUTE
- I am very happy he didn't give away the horns hoodie. that would have been a sin. Him pretending its ugly tho. Like dude you wore it when you got engaged to Phil last year on Fuji san. Don't lie to me.
- the British Backoff news recap and his way of talking about it just cracks me up. He is so done.
- that iPhone fangirling but also drag was pretty funny too
- that music talk was so long omg. So many opinions. Dan is such a pretentious asshole about music I love it. I don't care about any of those people he mentioned but who gives a fuck, him talking passionately about stuffs is my aesthetic (when it's not an hour long rant abt Kanye).

Human has a theory about it but I'll let her decide if she wants to share it (it's funny af and once you hear it you'll notice them saying hello Darla once per show)

I don't have much else to add other than my usual weekly praise that I love Dans liveshows. Yay to opinions and music discussions, excited to find out what the storm he keeps mentioning is going to be but forever salty that they haven't mentioned eurotatinof yet again.

Yeah I had noticed that actually. I assumed they were just a top fan and got a lot of acknowledgement through it (like anahita, coconutswaggy, jotalina etc) but would LOVE to hear your theory if you're happy to share it human

I don't think so because i always see in the chat people actually typing "Leave" when it's been 1hour. He does use it as a segue to actually leave but I don't think he makes it up.

If you search Darla on YouNow it's pretty easy to find the profile of (what I assume is) the person getting mentioned a lot so I don't think it's their secret account.

Just looked on twitter and Darla is a real person. She was talking about how she was upset because Dan didn't give her a nickname and a legion of Darla's were upset that people keep harassing them for getting questions answered all the time.

I think Darla's a real person but also possibly somewhat of an inside joke between them since they do seem to both have very specific reactions to her and respond to her or say hello to her each every single week without fail.

But his dislike or annoyance with certain people is still there, and it's all his own. Because Dan leaves a paper trail or speaks up about certain things (however politely) is why he has a target on his back. And since D&P are a package deal, he takes the bullets from rejected or discarded people for Phil, too. In parental terms, Dan always gets stuck playing "the bad guy" v day v day v day while Phil stays the cool mom good guy. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain, muting bitches left and right. Maybe Evan should pass along his mute-exposing methods to others so MattG can see just how much Phil himself actually gives a shit about him.

This is interesting. I don't really know anything about Evan, what did/does he do that would make Philly mute him? I rarely look "through" twitter. I don't even really know the history between him and deppy. I know about emma and what'shisface, but evan I am apparently not up to date on the scuttlebutt.

winston, evan was lowkey part of the emma-charlie bully squad back in the day, more recently he tried to bandwagon on deppy taking the 'professional fangirl' route, like onision, just less gross and sexual harassment-y, he would tweet them all the time and engage with the phandom, he also once (last year?) drunkenly tweeted the famous 'everyone has watched v day, youtubers gossip more than you do' tweet (paraphrasing) and apologized/deleted it later, i think that basically it

re: dan's ls: loved loved loved it, who's surprised, probably no one, the onion shade was onpoint , he tried to keep it vague and it went over everyone's head, even onision's, so i understand why he now directly addressed it, the music chat went on for too long but i didn't mind that much since i generally like the things dan listens to, i love that he keeps mentioning tame impala, the part were he read that someone's username was alloy trancy and proceeded to say 'terrible taste in anime characters...' made me laugh at loud

i think the future shitstorm is just the ytr stuff, he's probably excited to release it and be done with it, i would love for it to be anything else but the deppy world has been calm and uneventful for a while now so im not holding my breath

He was part of the 2013 Emma/whatshisface history, he joined in on the tweeting and everything around that time as he hung around with that group then. And even if that didn't do it, the following is just from April of 2015: Did Phil mute him before or after this stunning display, I wonder..

Also fancybum I think it's just the fact that they have different forms of confrontation and Phil will still remain polite no matter how much he dislikes someone. In the 2014 YT Rewind Phil was still perfectly nice to Luke even though by that time he must have disliked him. He and Dan definitely have actual fights. There's a whole different way of carrying yourself with people you don't know, and with your partner/Best Friend and Roommate (true). Dan remarked at least once how stubborn Phil is and how Phil always thinks he's right, and the comment about how if they have a fight Phil will come back in playing Hello, Internet...

I think Phil keeping a polite demeanor with people is smart because it deprives people of stuff to use against him. Whether we like it or not, it's useful for him since he clearly wants a firm shield between who he is as a person and who he is on camera.

If they fight, I'm going to put my money on 3 to 1 that Phil wins hands down Unless Dan ends up whining until he gets his way.

Regarding the NY mentions, he talked about the musical Hamilton and basically said "I want to have my mind blown by it when I go to NY next" and then added "as if I'll be able to time getting tickets to Hamilton with anything". It seems as though Hamilton is going on from now until at least May 2017.

So yeah, wouldn't be surprised if they're going to NY at some point. Probably for another YT thing like the creator summit which always seems to be in NY (and was in May in 2015 and 2016).
