Remember the time Dan ignored Nat's request of collabbing when she was in London? Yeah Dan better make it up by doing an extra long sketch with her… i wish!

When will a dat collab happen I'm crying. (Although Dan is/was a big fan of Nat, i feel she maybe get along better with Phil. )
seriously tho I am still so bitter about it. Like how dare he????????????? :x I FREAKED OUT when she tweeted him and he never answered her, who is supposed to be his idole, when he answers Alfie or Tyler in a heartbeat. :x
In my mind he responded in a PM and they have scheduled a get together for after the tour to film and are working on the scripts by messages. They reviewed it a bit yesterday at the summit. Superwoman and Phil might have a cheeky cameo in both sketches

I watched the video just to see how she addressed D&P. I just wanted to strangle her to wake her up because that's the nth time she did that kind of video. She won't get D&P's sympathy and favor no matter how hard she tries. Does she really want Phil to shut her up again?
SERIOUSLY, GIRL. GET OVER IT. FOCUS ON ACTUAL CONTENT.

BTW I love your signature. Don't cry, crank. Can they do this as their next April fools video? kidding.

You are not alone, lovely picture and lovely people but a guy who just played two sold out Broadway shows on his 40+ date American tour deserves to be side-eyed when referring to himself as one of the most relatable people in world.

They weren't in Jacks team. He was with MatPat, Mark and Tomska. Nothing about .

Has anyone watched Alfies video yet? As he has uploaded.

If they were in the Mark's team when their team won best cocktail prise. Since Jack posted that their team won Taco Prize (there were 3 Taco Prizes). I'm really intersted what cocktail they made.
edit: And this is Jack's tweet. Tom and MatPat on rhe photo. I'm confused.

Not to mention the fact that being relatable is a similar type of quality to being humble: other people should be the judges of that while you shut your mouth, listen, accept the verdict and try to avoid ever self-proclaiming youself as such
But whatever, it was just a dumb twitter joke, no biggie.

Also, old news but I have to mention it: love Nat almost as much as D&P and love the way Phil is holding her shoulder in that twitter photo. I noticed he does that quite a lot to people and somehow it always makes him look very manly and good in my eyes. I've got a soft spot for Phil's hand on people's shoulders. Idk why. Has anybody made a compilation post for that yet?

I think he'd have been more accurate to say four people who attempt to make relateable content because seriously - Lilly Singh's in that photo and she's creeping up on nine million subscribers and made multiple millions last year, plus performed a frequently sold out world tour and made a bts movie about it. The fact that they script out videos meant to appeal to an audience doesn't really make them actually the kind of people those audiences would relate to deep down. And yet... somehow they (Dan, Phil, and Lilly - and I assume Natalie too, I have to admit I don't watch her) do have the reputation as being someone fans can relate to. It's really a talent to pull off that kind of aura when really nothing about your life is actually that ordinary and relatable.

Nah that tweet made me cringe also. I think it might be for a slightly different reason than other people in this forum though. I don't really see money as canceling out relatableness; I don't have an issue with that. I'm with hunnyftw about being relatable not something that you should call yourself, like being humble.
It also bothers me b/c I don't find Phil relatable, so... Also, I'm not sure that Superwoman's content is what you would call #relatable either. Sure Nat and Dan are what you might call relatable. So I just think that his tweet missed the mark.

[offtopic]But srsly it will be very offtopic (but is there even a topic right now?)

Duuuude, you totally should start watching Nat, she's a godsend! And I genuinely find her very relatable, and not in a #relatable, "attempting to make relatable content" way either. AND lately she's been uploading regularly, giving me some videos to watch while D&P conquer the USA. So if I'm being completely honest I've been stanning her harder than deppy recently.[/offtopic]

Oh God, how do I make it about D&P... ummm, it's nice to imagine them wandering through Boston together, I guess

wow my god I agree with that so much. And I think you actually found the reason that I find Dan actually less relatable than I used to! I never thought about it that way but you are totally right.

I used to relate to Dan A LOT and I still do on occasions especially in his live shows but since he has started to label himself relatable with all that trashy #relatable branding, I actually relate less because it is indeed something that you let others decide if they relate to you or not. I kinda feel like Archimedes in his bath so thank you for that.

daphenaxa thank you for allowing me to feel smarter than I really am, if just for one moment

After reading your comment I feel we need to give Dan some slack. He's obviously joking with the whole I'm so relatable shtick.
It's just that... it's not a joke that I'm personally particularly fond of.
The first reason I stated in my previous post (shut up about being relatable you spoon, it's not for you to decide). And I think you hinted at the second reason in your post: when you change something genuine that I identified with (ie him being relatable) into a branding joke (ie him being #relatable meme joeking) part of the magic and realness is gone...

Wow, do I sound bitter or what? I still value Dan, I promise ;) guess I'm just in a reflective mood today. And it's still no biggie, just an observation.

This is not so much about that tweet (which was probably just a tongue-in-cheek joke) but Dan in general I don't think it's having money that cancels out his relatableness it's being mega successful in his chosen field.
It's not just that he makes good money because you can do that in a job you hate and be very relatable to many people (or other relatable side of the coin do what you love for shit money) however in Dan's case he has money because he makes a great living doing what he wanted to do with his life. He got his dream, he took a chance and it worked out how he wanted it to.

And not only is Dan a success professionally but his relationship with his life partner roommate/BFF has been going strong for life 6.5 years now and they seem very happy together (platonically happy of course). And his only 24.

Dan may be socially awkward but his a winner at life. Which is great because I want Dan to be successful and happy but the fact is being so successful limits how relatable he can be. No matter how hard he tries successful youtuber Dan will never be anywhere near as relatable as law-student-with-no-clue-what-his-doing-with-his-future-Dan or left-behind-while-friends-off-at-uni-Dan.

Oh my god. The RIGHT SIDE OF HIS FACE. NO PEACE SIGN. NO DOGE. AND HE LOOKS BEAUTIFUL.

I'd be so happy if that was my pic. Its like a rare piece in the vast collection of Deppy selfies.

Also I'm pages past it now but I think it was hunnyftw who said AmazingPhil does all this mugging cos he knows Phil Lester is hot as fuck (spesh in the dad!phan photo) and it needs toning down for his content vibe. Like I know you were at least partially joking but its accurate as fuck whether he does it on purpose or not.

I'm usually Dan all the way, but when I see Phil just being Phil (low voice, normal smiling, being generally tactile and a warm person - usually in the background of other people's vlogs) I just wanna put a ring on it. So fit, and so very fanciable. Shame he's usually so CBeebies in front of the camera.

I wonder if he does do it on purpose cos he know he fine

Phil is gorgeous, but I actually think he does it because he doesn't feel as attractive as Dan, Dan is the one who gets the teen magazine posters etc whilst Phil is probably considered more attractive by mostly middle aged nose perverts (middle aged get rid of the fringe please perverts in my case coz he looks divine when his fringe is swept off his face I need a swooning emoji but this sums it up )

Hey I've lurked since this website was born and finally posted. Hello everyone. I too am a middle aged nose pervert.

Anyways I found this video by Emma Blackery this morning and thought that while you are all waiting for vlogs we can talk about this problematic person. She talks about how she thought people were "gay baiting" at 6:39 and at 11:50 talks about how she and a friend (we all know about this interaction) talked about Dan and Phil.

Personally I think she's in it for the subs. But that's just me.
