Right when I mentioned my vlogging dreams This was a heartbreaking video but something that struck me is that they said they wanted to make other people happy so much that they didn't realize they were hurting themselves. I never thought something like vlogging could ruin relationships but if you are forced to always put on a happy face and act like you love each other even when you don't it gets difficult.

I just now realized how much DP affect my vocabulary when I screamed "orgasmic" to some supreme nachos in the middle of our clubs charity event I never think about how much DP influence my vocabulary, I say "literally" so much thanks to Dan and "spork" is my favorite (fond) insult.

Hell, I even bought the weird popcorn facewash Phil uses (it's amazing ) and watched Free! and GBBO because they kept taking about it. Do you guys suffer as well with unconsciously become DP clones... I need to know!!!

I think we are safe, Dan and Phil have both made abundantly clear that they would never daily vlog, especially Dan seems to despise it. And they also have been conscious from the start of the strain that the public's judgement and expectations put on relationships.
I am not surprised that daily vlogging could destroy your sanity and relationships. I don't think it is a sustainable lifestyle. You don't live in the moment anymore, it is always for your job and your content and you always have to deliver something every single day man. You can't express your negative vibes because people will pick up on it and analyse you, they will also pick appart your relationship. It just looks like HELL.

Yeah I think they influence me. I watched Free! too and want to watch more Dan recomms, I watched bake off crème de la crème because Dan talked about it, I bought Tokaido and lube. They don't influence my speaking because i don't speak English, but if I did, I am sure I would say "literally" a lot in Dan's accent.


I am not a fan a pewdipie either at all. I don't like his vids or his brand of humour (though I liked that "new car" video he did recently lol). But irl, from what I know, he seems like a decent guy.

Same, I'm not invested in PVP either but it reminded me of CTFxC divorce Though this doesn't seem to be nearly as much as a mess, and they definitely learned from (mostly) Charles' mistakes on how to go about this as they did things very differently. They announced it together, they're honest about the reason why and the toll daily vlogging took on their relationship and they're stopping the vlogs for their sanity... I have a lot of respect for that, one of the reasons I stopped watching CTFxC after the divorce was because of Charles vlogging through the whole thing while pretending everything was alright, never stopping because of his obsession with his world record.

That stuff they said about how every daily vlogging couple has has problems because of the vlogs and telling other vlog couples to be careful made me think of D&P. They don't make daily vlogs so there's not as much of a blurred line between work and private for them, and we don't even know if they're a couple, but they work so closely together... I hope they never let YouTube take away from their relationship whether that's as friends or more.

Agree so much, I started watching GBBO because of them, they've ruined how I said a ton of words like microwave and sidewalk and I do that stupid wa-ha-hey thing and every time I unconsciously say them I feel like like complete because nobody I know watches D&P so I look like even more of an idiot.

I didn't know who PVP was and I'm watching their breakup announcement and damn. This is breaking my heart. They both look so miserable about it, I don't want D&P to ever get here. It's a bit frightening tbh, because even though D&P aren't daily vloggers some of what they're saying is still striking a chord. "When it got to a point, for seven years or however long, when you make videos and you're doing things because people say to do them, 'Do I love this person or am I doing it for the video?' It gets to that point, it's toxic." Scary and very very sad for them.

Haha same here. Everytime I say literally I do it the same Way Dan does. I can't even help it. The same with microwave.

I laugh everytime I pick up ribena to drink. It is ridiculous, me and my sister (rachelphan) were shopping on Sunday and I am saw a camo top (like Dans) and I pointed at it. We both knew exactly what we were talking about. Obviously I started watching Anime because of them! I think we are turning into clones!

Wow I have never watched pvp but it is weird when youtube couple like that break up (wondering if Zalife will be next). A breakup is hard enough but I couldnt even work out how to tell millions of people on line. At least Alist celebs get the media to tell us but youtubers have to do it themselves.
I know we moan about not seeing anything of D&P life but maybe it is a good thing when it comes to things like this. They don't feel pressured into showing their relationship (whatever it may be) and they are stronger for it.

It's supposed to be month of love, isn't it?) and mainly daily vloggers and it makes me wonder when Deppy see this all the time on youtube that if they actually are together that they just exactly because of this would continue their best friends image. It's 630am where they are. That's the sweet spot where even insomniacs are asleep. The only people awake at that hour are people with jobs that make me sad, and people with morning hobbies that make me sad.
