the story Dan told us about briefly in his first liveshow on their return. It involved suitcases, anyway, and was pretty traumatic on the cringe-attack front.

Edit now that I've actually watched it: that was great! I miss these types of dinofs. That made me realise he's just as good at them as he was before they became sparse (better, if anything) and I wish he did them more. Surely telling stories would make it easier to get past his anxiety over coming up with ideas since they're half-formed for him? Come on Dan, give us more

Also I daren't count how many times he said 'Phil' but since I'm walking trash, the married vibes in this video did not go unappreciated. Love the imagery of Dan resting his head in Phil's lap as Phil furiously works away at fixing his vision

The story was funny and the sketches well done and lots of fun. Plus Phil was in it, so that was a nice bonus.

I loved the video, I thought it was hilarious, he's very good at story telling and sketches to go along with it, plus Phil in glasses thankyouverymuch. His last minute packing makes me anxious af though so god knows how Phil puts up with that. Who packs 15 minutes after you're meant to leave?! Just nooooo!

Welp, my guess was totally wrong. That was a wild ride, he sure knows how to ramp up the drama, but if you're gonna get yourself into such a pickle... I laughed so much and "Oh, Daniel"d all the way through. Phil's parts are brilliant, he might not be the best actor in the world, but he's got great physical and facial expression. Dan's descriptions of Phil bossing him around and doing the eyedrops, the Phil-energy was strong.

Phil must have been so done by the time they got to Australia. Also, kudos to Dan for taking a photo with a fan even when he had no vision

I do love a Danecdote. And it being uploaded today was a pleasant surprise for me because I missed Dan giving a time expectation in the LS so was expecting it to arrive more towards of the end of the week.

Also somebody questioned a few pages back how good Phil is communicating with real life friends in argumentative situations and I think this story is a good example of the fact Phil is clearly okay with having a go at Dan when his annoying him.
And Dan's habit of leaving everything to the last minute is clearly an ongoing issue with them because it is one of the things they talked about in their radio 1 confessions roulette thing. Dan promised at the time to work on it as he knew it annoyed Phil so much... apparently Phil is still suffering.

Pretty sure you can take most solid food through airport security in the UK it's liquids that are the issue.

Loved the video!! I forgot just how much I love listening to Dan tell stories, he's very talented at building the tension and delivering them with great timing! I just wish he could do it more, as someone pointed out - the video is already half there for him

Well that answers the question as to what color suitcase Phil's is. Also just throwing this out there...he says "THE bedroom" not "MY bedroom" don't mind me....

Why do they have so many toothbrushes. Phil has an electric one, and Dan "packs' one in his toiletries bag as well. So the three in the toothbrush holder are for...?

I think they both have electric ones because there are two of those weird little clock things that come with them under their mirror attached to the wall.

HOWEVER since japhan I've suspected they have one and use a head each ( ) because in the japhan DITL you can see the electric one plugged in with one head on it, and another head separately on the side next to it. That's what me and my ex used to do too.

edit - scratch that, you can see another proper electric one with blue on it in the background at 2:03 so they have a fancy one each

Also can we talk about 'trying to find my own g-spot with a time limit' because bravo Dan. Your past self is melting into himself with horror and we all love it.

Anyone notice that the wrong eye is winking?? According to the video, it was his left eye he hurt...but here he's winking with his right.
