Yes he is! Several people have seen him around DP in the Australian Tour.

I will unlurk to say that TATINOF was bloody fantastic. My meet and greet went well, yes it was rushed but it was nice to say hi and see them in real life (no i'm not posting my photo ). I went with two friends and we were lucky enough to sit up front. Though we are a little older than the average age of the crowd, the energy was phenomenal - i couldn't help singing along to the iconic playlist, and when the show started we went completely bonkers I will say that it was 100% persona driven, but something about them being so in character made the show so utterly ridiculous that i was crying with laughter (like sliding out of my chair laughing) many times.

I avoided writing a review because i don't have anything really interesting to say. But the show is great, really really great. That is all.

Phil looks nice in those airport pics.
There were lots of people hanging around there or so it seems, which I just don't think is cool.

Idk why. Maybe because they seemingly changed some rules about the M&Gs (to make them run faster) so there aren't as many fun/creative pics? Or because it's a different merch crew (who we don't know much about yet afaik)? Or the fact that nobody here has attended/left a tatinof AUS review yet?

I agree. What is up? Just seems so dull. They share pics and a responding to tweets more but it just seems very boring. I was trying to figure out why the other day. I think it is a combo of all of the above. There still is lack of liveshows and the radio. Also not much drama, things to analyze or speculate about. There is only so much we can say about a photo a day.

I think all of the above is why now deppy is so boring to me. There's only so much I can say about the photos they share and the m&G ones are all the same, the majority seem like you could have a cardboard of deppy and nothing would change, only few like the girl in the hotdog suit are different and cute.
Also we don't have the usa crew and we don't have a review.
I scrolled past the busgate parts because it didn't interest me, so it isn't it for me, we had drama at first with the rumors from the aus accounts. In my case it doesn't help that lately half of their videos have been a miss , the fine bros videos are dull and the lack of ls doesn't help. (how great would it been if dan or phil acknowledged the #rubberupfordan?)

And I am all for daily photos from D&P #marriedAF #domestic. They have always been "drama free" any way. I agree with Ticia that the AUS tour might seem boring because the m&g photos were no longer posted in @updatedphan.

Airport photos: the number of fans who saw them at the airport is odd. It was as if the fans really waited for them at the airport. One person even answered that she is a good stalker when asked how they met D&P. Hmmm...

Also, Phil looked so tired. It doesn't help that he stands behind the fan on pictures. It looked like he forced himself to join the selfie.

I can only speak for myself, but I've been following @meetingphan and that's actually where I noticed the difference between the AUS and the US M&G photos (apparently they were told only one thing could get signed so maybe that's why). I still enjoy skimming through them though (unpopular opinion I guess?).

I was just making a casual observation that tatinof AUS seems duller to me so far (because of the reasons I listed/suspected). Definitely not blaming D+P for anything (just to clarify in case anybody misunderstood lol...). Just wanted to see if I was the only one who felt the difference.

Probably. They seldom talk about this kind of stuff. He just don't like to say it directly because it will contradict his stand on these kind of awards.

I agree with this. I think it's definitely just a common thing that when people are feeling tired of something or burnt out, they look outward for blame instead of acknowledging that it's a personal feeling. It feels better to say that you don't like something/someone for a reason outside of just time and changing interests.

Yeah, the pics from m&g and stories coming out of them aren't as fun, but they also haven't had a m&g in a week. I think it's more that we had a lot more shows in a lot quicker time frame in the US, so there was more opportunity for fun stories to come up. If there was a night or two where nothing really interesting happened it didn't matter bc there would be more shows coming immediately and more potential for cute pics/fun stories. They've done four shows in eight days, with days long gaps between some. Of course there's less to talk about. The past week has been the equivalent of the fandom in stasis while Dan and Phil are on holiday.

Stuff like this makes me wish the phandom was as equally strong on the support for the creative side as they are the reality-based side. In other fandoms when things are slow the fic content gets hopping. Phandom is probably the fandom I've been in that focuses least on having a strong internal creative output.

That said, I'm still wallowing in the trash pile and will be for a while.

(I spent so long writing this that Dan tweeted and everyone's moved on whoops.)

Yeah, I was thinking, this is a pretty good hint they're not done with the BBC, which means they might come back to Radio 1.

I don't think he's necessarily scrounging for votes - it's more of a polite recognition that they've been nominated... hat said, his given reasons for not caring about online votes (it's clickbait for website traffic/advertising revenue) don't apply, "due to the unique way the BBC is funded...!"

I'm not going to check, but i bet at least 50% of the replies to that tweet are along the lines of "WTH?! I CAN'T VOTE!!!" (Auntie, sort yo' shit out, and work out how the internet/social media works ffs!)
