While it was easy to think of Phil, I think her rebranding had far more to do with her personal situation (i.e. divorce) which kind of (as far as we know) doesn't really apply to Dan or Phil. I don't think you can boil everything she said down into just being about her divorce. She started her channel in 2009 and has grown up a lot and evolved as a person (outside of just marriage/baby/divorce) and she felt that growth wasn't being accurately depicted on her channel out of fear that if she veered from what her audience had grown to expect from her over the years, they'd react negatively. (Interestingly, I was waiting for her to use the word 'persona' and when she finally did, she said it didn't quite fit as she was still her on her channel, just a more watered-down PC version hmmm maybe that rings some bells).

I think what she discussed could very well apply to Dan & Phil (and quite frankly, countless other youtubers), so I hope she finds success (continued or increased) with the re-brand. We obviously don't know if Dan/Phil feel constrained by audience expectations, but... how could they not? Though maybe not yet to the degree that Louise was struggling with it, so I'm not expecting anything drastic from them anytime soon. But I think it's really brave of her to say 'fuck it, I want to be more like myself on my channel and I'm sorry if that's not for you' (even if her views and whatnot weren't climbing as is, it's risky to switch up a mostly-working formula and add opinions and more 'adult'-ness to things). I wish her the best.

He really is killing the twitter replies. It's either
1. He is really interested on replying to people. (If he likes the topic, he does reply a lot.)
2. They really lurk in IDB. The timing, man.
