Side note, I kind of feel bad for them for how everything went down with Kiswe, nobody seems excited for the tit livestream the way people were excited when the wad stream was announced.

the Splitting Fiction video was fantastic IMO
I have enjoyed the last two videos (Poppy and this one) and it has occurred to me that I enjoy their longer videos more than anything. Not sure of a specific reason why but you get a better idea of their dynamic during these long videos. Love it.

I was 100% prepared to watch maybe 30 minutes of this and use the rest of the video as background noise like I did with Poppy, but I found this was actually fun to watch! She is still getting used as background noise this week, but it'll be a rewatch.
They did some more promo for the TIT livestream:

I feel the same way! Their little asides to each other are loose and funny, and seeing the way they communicate and strategize together is so cool.jmorton wrote: Mon Mar 17, 2025 4:29 pm the Splitting Fiction video was fantastic IMO

^ the ones from 2019 vidcon weren't bad at all tho - the phil example didn't have an under-chin angle. a fan @pjsforestkid took those. without them, the pages would've been stuck with the 2014 vidcon pics all these years!!
not sure why dnp went with a phil photo where half his face is covered. it works okay for a profile picture but not really an encyclopedia! oh well, it's not like the old ones get taken down, they've just been moved to other sections of the article and can easily be moved around if the editors decide.

also, dnp should know wikipedia's policy allows public figures to upload their own photos to the commons, if they wish to do so: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia ... ure_of_you
they could even provide several from over the years if they wanted! for each era

The livestream was fun! The chat was going so fast I just wound up hiding it and didn't even try to chat, oh well. I saw their manager (?) posted on Instagram that there were over 20,000 viewers. Does anyone remember if they ever said how many people watched the WAD livestream?

I realised I haven't had much to say recently about the content as it's literally exactly what I always thought it could/should be. It just makes me laugh, the absolutely stupid AF Tabitha's tattoo shop that also sells drinks and has a hot tub, the what do you meme, they just make me cackle, even split fiction or friction or whatever it is, the only part of that game that I found interesting in any way was that monkey dancing bit but they made the rest of it so funny too. Bless em, they seem to see be in the right part of their life now, where they should be, being who they are. Said the giant sap apparently

they make me sick with how utterly danandphil the way they're recounting their trip is. and i truly mean that in the way that me in 2014, even on the heels of japhan, would truly be on cloud 9 like nothing else. this is their best era yet, they make me so happy

Just watched the "official full stage film" for Terrible Influence. I was bummed out by them including the tour bus double bed in the conspiracy theories segment because I was sure they'd lie about it, or at least answer it in a misleading fashion.
They didn't.
I'm shook, but also so proud of them. The soft landing definitely already occurred, but announcing that live on stage all around the world feels like them officially closing the book on it. "Yes, of course we're together. No, we're not going to talk about it. Moving on…"
It felt very deliberate that they brought it up immediately after talking about how a lot of their appeal had been the ambiguity rather than any of the actual content they created. They're confident they don't need it anymore. They make stuff that people enjoy (and/or find meaningful, in Dan's case), and that's all there is to it. They deserved this and I'm so glad they know that.
