I am so so happy for them! I feel I need to rewatch a few times to fully take it all in but I am so happy and also excited for this new chapter. It must be such a relief. Some of the things they brought up I really wasn't expecting (vday, screenshots of 4 hour Skype etc). So much to unpack

Sorry to be stuck on this, but I just realised. They included clips and screenshots from the vday vid in the video. What are the chances dnp just had that video lying around on their hard drive? Like... did they have to go on the phannie internet to download it?

I was extremely surprised they made this video, really thought they never would, but like they said, being not officially out was probably just a difficulty at this point. I didn't see anyone really predicting this would be a hard launch and they've been hunting at a rebrand so I was sure that was all it would be. I thought people implying it would be a podcast launch along with a rebrand were overhyping it a bit. I was very wrong!

Also, some of the stuff they mentioned in this video really open the door for even for hindsight speculation, but I will try to internalize the lessons from that video and hold back

I am incredibly happy for them. They've done a LOT of work to get this far, and I hope this brings them peace and freedom!

I did not expect them to address the V day video directly, but I am glad they did.

I'm so excited for their podcast. I started watching them in 2013 and I am still watching, 12 years on.

I love d&p (and I feel old for saying that instead of phan) and I am just so pleased for them that they've managed to achieve this on their own terms.

Huge shoutout to them for not ending the video with a kiss or some other display of physical affection. It's not for us.

Phil being Dan's first boyfriend completely recontextualizes the situation IMO. Especially for someone with chronic dissatisfaction, the idea of only ever dating one person, and it never going bad, would be hard to believe in. He'd never been in a relationship before–of course he didn't want the Internet to scrutinize his first attempt at one.

not to double post but wow that was a trip. I can't believe they discussed so much and while that was a LONG video I don't blame them for wanting to be clear at last. loving the rebrand and that they can authentically be themselves. I might melt at the sappiness of it all

I can't believe it you guys... they did that.
I'm so happy for them. And they did it in their own terms. I love it.
I also love the explicitness of the boundaries, they made a list and used coloured markers just in case there were any doubts.



I just love this. The level of communication, the fact that we can establish this sense of normality in the shipping without the awkwardness. I am over the moon

Their new icon for the channel is so cute and I hope we get the full photo!

Well, lads. We made it.
I knew something was coming, all the comments debating 'how open the door is gonna be' in the Mukbang, the elephant in the room joke in the last gaming video, the way they were acting - like, in general - those are patterns that I recognized. We've been here before with their coming outs. However, I couldn't have ever predicted a 46 minutes long video where they would address literally everything. Them talking about the Vday video and how it almost broke them up? Look, I know they say we shouldn't over romanticize their relationship, but damn. It takes so much courage and strenght and commitment to survive something like that and I am so happy they manage to survive such a traumatic time in their lives.
I think the thing that shocked me the most is the fact they were not awkward at all in the video, it really felt like they were finally at ease and made peace with the past. With us.
I am so happy that we're at this point, I am happy they feel like they can trust us now, that they can finally be themselves openly and shamelessly. I am excited for what's to come -- a podcast is literally what i've been dreaming about for years. I still hope we're getting Spooky Week though.

Wild times we live in, the madlads actually did it! They are finally releasing a phodcast!!!1!!!

It really was a fantastic video, and with that I hope that they are finally at peace in their professional and private lifes to live and express themselves as they wish.

A lot of people left, but it's great to see some return for old times sake

Been lurking for the past few years but had to login again to just say how happy I am that they're finally comfortable enough to share this so openly.
I'm so looking forward to this new era of content and continuing to see their journey.
