Yes, I totally agree. Like I get it when she was annoyed because of the stalking in Cyprus, those fans really crossed the line, but getting butthurt about some comments on twitter and instagram? Look at wirrow, he is even interacting with people who have d&p icons and you could tell he is in the same position as her. idk, mabe if I was in her situation I would have a different opinion but I always thought that she doesn't take herself so seriously.

Why is quietly removing people who bother her and privating her account an overreaction? As far as I can see she hasn't said a single thing to a single fan. What she's doing seems like the most mature way to handle a situation you don't like online.

I just thought that she wouldn't be bothered by it to the extent of privating her account. Guess I was wrong. And a lot of the people she is blocking genuinely enjoy her tweets and are not waiting for some phan info. But I agree that things would be so much worse if she started picking up fights with fans.

I think it's because it all escalated from a domino-effect of events, rather than her doing it discreetly while nobody noticed. From the sound of her blocking spree it seems like she's done this for a while so all of a sudden it went "usual" commentary by immature phans -> mild shade from other phans -> delete the picture/interactions -> privatise twitter. So why now did she suddenly decide it was too much and privatised?

Like, all I mean is that the escalation seemed proportionately over the top because she's been dealing with phans for years now and never resorted to this. Not that "this" is anything horrible but surely there's been worse. So it gives off a bad impression rather than if it had happened without the drama surrounding it.

I understand what you're saying but her actions still make the most sense to me. She was suddenly met with an influx of people solely interested in Dan and Phil and it was annoying/frustrating enough to warrant action from her whereas she might not have bothered if it was just the normal amount of people asking her about Dan and Phil.

I wouldn't say it's an overreaction, but if she didn't want to draw attention to her actions or anger anyone, she could easily make a second twitter that's private and only her friends are allowed to follow. That's a common practice, there are a few people on my feed that have a public twitter and a private friend twitter. I think that'd make the most sense for her since going through all her followers and blocking everyone having anything to do with phan would be timely and nearly impossible, as some phandom members just maintain regular twitters.

I agree that it's better than picking fights but it's definitely going to bother a lot of people. And yeah, what about her casual followers?

Bryony can do whatever she wants but I personally feel like there was a better way to handle this. I'm not affected as I wasn't even following her, just my opinion.

Speaking of Deps...they've been quiet. DAPGOOSE LA is tonight, and I hope things go well and the protests won't cause a whole lot of issues, IF the protests are still going on down there.

Up here it's still madness at 5PM, when they have been starting the past five nights. Currently there is a massive student walk-out going on, blocking traffic all over town.

Apparently arrived at LA. Do we have any confirmation that they just got there? Or is this a misdirection?

Hell would freeze over before i would go through the trouble of making a new account and getting all my friends to follow just so a few people don't notice i don't want their attention.

I just think it's funny that everytime some friend/partner of a youtuber whines or argues on social media about getting unwanted attention, everybody says they should just make their account private etc. And now that somebody is doing that it's not enough either

She is definitely not blocking "everybody" - her following list dropped by a hundred or so in the past twelve hours. My guess is she's blocking people whose names come across her mentions or who are interacting with the posts causing her the biggest pain in the ass. Maybe some people are caught in the crossfire that had nothing to do with it, but - less than 150 out of 12k, it's minimal.

(Only quoting that bit but I agree with your whole post. She's doing exactly what people said that she should do last time, but suddenly now the way she's going about it isn't good enough? Eh. It's her twitter, it's her choice.)
