Thanks a lot bluebox-away and spider for the amazing find, enjoyed the WL a lot. Phil is so tiny there and still very much himself. Wanted to be a new Tarantino, did he? The version of WL in my country had even meaner younger lady-host with high-pitched ringing voice. Also people who were chosen as weakest link left the studio by their pedestals moving down and disappearing under the floor lol.

I was browsing the tabinof earlier, then I saw there doodles, i wonder have we psychoanalyzed the shit out if them yet?

Not an analysis, just my 2 cents on probably obvious for everyone details.

Dan’s doodle: drew symbolically his evolution as a person and influences he had throughout his life. Wants to be seen as a human with versatile personality and diversified tastes. Attempts to add puns / humour / self-awareness (price label). Little images look disconnected from each other (lack of focus, many unrealised ideas), but I think images are to be viewed in order, starting from center (the sun) moving up–right–down-left like that curly spiral in the top right corner:
Sun – he was a f**king sun from teletubbies.
#Lolzor – rAnD0m faze, etc.

- Staircase with door under it – harry potter reference? (cupboard under the stairs) – relates to him for being a looser as a child/teenager.
- Do not push button – aware/afraid of his tendency to do the worst thing and f everything up (like that particular work experience story he told about pressing the alarm and also as a metaphor).
- Doesn’t Sauron’s eye look a bit like vagina? (fyi)

Phil’s doodle: Definitely more single-minded person, more solid unified images. Bottom half of the page under the lizard creature represents dark, doubtful, unhappy period in his life. Upper half – presumably now – creative, uplifting, challenging (stars, rockets, futuristic weird unusual stuff). Interesting that many objects are in pairs: two ghosts (or octopi) next to each other, two trees growing out of checkered beast’s back, two ladders, two stickman figures upside down with Saturn between them, also two stickman figures throwing the Saturn in the right upper corner. Trees, planet - need for security net, home.

- He drew himself as many things at once – alien furry boy with anime eyes and whiskers wearing a clown suit?
- Thought bubbles with various images - considers himself a creative person with weird ideas, yes to thinking out of the box (nothing new here). A cassette thing may be a radio with antennaes?
- Spaceships, aliens, weird creatures - thinks that those ideas one day may turn into something amazing in future/bring success (world domination&power ). Dom!Phil confirmed.

I am ashamed to admit that while i guessed the DD password quickly, it took me forever to get the password for cherrypirates. I don't understand how i didn't see it.

All this inspired me to rewatch the Oreo video and i noticed some things i didn't notice before:

• There was a discussion about wether or not they wear make up (or how often) a while ago and in the oreo video it's obvious that at the end, the make up on Phil's forehead is stripy.
• Dan immediately jumped to ice LOLLIES instead of licking ice cream. No big deal in general, but for someone who wants to look straight... but i guess in 2014 he was already kind of chilling. It just stood out to me.
  Also: NO TEETH!
• They use the same hairspray as me.

The whole video is gold. Phil acting oblivious to the innuendos while Dan just looks so done with how sexual everything sounds. Shame it was removed

Drug deal info:
- The old and the new one have all the same deleted videos except for voldy, skipped it on the new one to decrease the risk of it getting taken down. (It's a phandom initiation rite to have to go look for it yourself, right?)
- The old one also lists their public videos...
- ...while the new lists only the deleted/private/blocked/unlisted/hard to access videos
- The old one is more like an archive really, less user-friendly and a forum secret shh (I've stopped sharing the link at all personally, I now see that page more as a back up, in case the new one gets taken down)
- The new one was created to be SHARED. It is easier to access (easy password) and easier to navigate (only the videos you actually came there to see) and I should prrrrobably put the link on a Tumblr with a good name and a snazzy layout so the rest of the phandom can find it too.
- The new one is the new and cool place to hang. Invite anyone you want!

It was a good mix of second hand embarrassment for his hair and feeling oddly proud of Phil throughout the whole thing. He really held his own! I think I got a little unnecessary offended when others voted for him though and he was doing so well there until the end. and his outfit! blue jeans!

Didn't watch WL in full until now since it was the crack of dawn when it finished recording and uploading and I had to sleep. Damn human limitations.

Phil was adorably meek and his accent was so northern. Not many of his older videos showed him head to toe so it was interesting seeing the contrast between then and now. Also knew he got to the final round but it was still surprising how well he did and his sass was fun to watch.

Agree with SquishPhan it was intriguing that even then Phil didn't plan on using his degree. It begs the question of whether young Phil would be pleased with what he ended up doing. Would like to think so.

Just watched the weakest link episode (or skimmed it). Phil knew he wanted to be a director then, I wonder if he still wants to pursue that route. Could we say he directed TATINOF?

Overall, Phil was so soft-spoken, very adorable (but I agree his hair was pretty bad). Again Thanks to spider and bluebox-away!

Agreed, this was a great read. Probably all been said but

Dan's doodle:
-Call it overanalyzing but I think it's very interesting he had to blatantly tell us "this was Phil's idea" "what am I doing idek" "I don't like doodling" and especially "don't psychoanalyze any of this it's all nonsense" sorry Dan just to distance himself as far as possible from it being something meaningful
-Comparing it to Phil's, he has so much more going on on the paper and therefore in his head, vincentian's observations of "many unrealised ideas" seems spot on here
-The fact that Sauron's eye looks like something else is one piece of psychoanalysis but how about that's it's surrounded by a fortress and a literal giant squid on top? Feels like something's not only overwhelming but something to be feared
-The nonononono okay with the sad little cyanide and happiness looking dude is interesting too. Makes me wonder if he started on the inside and worked his way out or from the top down, because that's kind of a depressing thing to start with
-What's he hiding under the black hole in the bottom right corner? look at me always thinking they're hiding something which they probably are most of the time tbh

Some of you may remember that I introduced my sister to because I was interested to see what her thoughts were on them. I posted that on GG a while ago, and since then she's watched some of their videos and has enjoyed them.
Today I showed her a certain video that shall not be named because I was genuinely curious to see her reaction. I explained to her the context of the video after she saw it, and she decided that she thought the video was genuine. When I asked her why, she said, "When you love someone, it really shows. You can't just fake something like that without hurting someone. They would only hurt themselves and others around them by faking this. Maybe they realized that, which would make it fake, but I think they just thought they looked stupid and cheesy and were afraid of people judging them. I would be afraid of that, too. Either way, they seem to be happy."
I know this adds practically nothing to what we already know, but I thought it was sweet. Thinking about the whole thing gives me butterflies, and other people as well because we all know what it feels like to have feelings for someone. I'm sorry for bringing up old news, but I'm not sure what else to talk about at the moment. Different people have different views on this particular video, so I respect them and you should respect others' as well.
