it was dragging and dragging forever. Any potential good moments were lost between the pointless giggles and the boring details. Why would someone be interested in that much detail (and esp. in a boring story like this) I am left with literally nothing from the video. It never really got my attention. I am even more surprised dan actually uploaded a video like that and in his main channel as well. 2 years ago that story would be a little part of a 10min video with another 5 awkward (maybe actually funny) moments. I'm gonna agree that it was too long for my tastes. Dan and Louise are lovely and hilarious together though, don't get me wrong. I loved the video but I'll probably only watch once.

DINOF videos in general are a one time watch for me.

About the videos:
I did find Phil a bit awkward in the NWW, but I liked the video. Not going to watch it again any time soon, but it's still nice.
I absolutely LOVED the Dan + Louise video, it had me in tears by the end of it. They are probably my favorite dynamic on YouTube. They really bounce off of eachother so well.

I absolutely adore when Dan and Louise are together one-on-one. (no offense my sweet Philly, your energy just doesn't match what happens when they're together). It's not a collab so much as just two genuine friends being goofy together.

Also, yes, the "I'm crumbling with guilt" was because they were pretending it was her birthday. Her 16th birthday, no less.

also it proved to me how "not close" at all they are. They literally didnt have anything else to add to the video and dragged the one thing they could find for 20min. I also didnt feel dan was that comfortable around louise like in the first Awkward Moments video. it felt more forced.. not really sth fun for them. Dans laughs(except maybe one moment) were really fake.

Dan video was glorious. The Phil napkin story had me cry laugh.
I think it's evident they do really like each other. Dan was so comfortable. His laugh, especially at the end was so natural and genuine. Campy Dan was also here big time. The alpha male moment was fun, I still don't get the "he thought Phil was my nephew" thing. Like, that was really weird?
At the beginning I have to admit I was a bit annoyed about all the details and very slow story telling but pretty quickly it made the whole thing extra funny and in the end I didn't want it to stop.

I also thought it was interesting in light of the recent discussion on here (I can't remember which board it was and am too lazy to look soz) about Markiplier's vid on youtube and a little discussion Dan had in one of his live shows about the ~youtube algorithm~ and how it can restrict the kind of content youtubers post (namely, making videos shorter so viewers don't get bored and click off).

I think it's cool that Dan's aware of this algorithm and could have made his vid shorter, but chose not to. It makes it feel like he posted the vid really more for the phandom members and didn't really care that it might not appeal to his more casual viewers.
Of course he's so successful already I guess there's less pressure to maximise the amount of subs he gains/attention his vids get but yanno. Still felt like it was a 'gift' for the fans. I'm rambling. I'm gonna stop now

Unpopular opinion here but I liked the NWW better than Dan's video. I actually laughed out loud through out the whole video but in the restaurant story, the only thing that made me laugh was the napkin incident. What really puts me off are Dan's overreactions and in this video coupled by Louise. Their screaming or sputtering makes me really cringe and I usually skip those moments. Even though they were quite loud in the NWW there was at least Phil for balancing it out.

You all complain about AP persona (don't get me wrong I would also be happy if he dropped it) but I hate Dan's persona more. His overplaying and screaming is something that I will never find funny and it is getting worse and worse. I don't hate his videos or him but I never get myself to rewatch them. And imo their first awkward moments were better this at least for me wasn't that funny maybe more cringey.

Dan and Louise are two really loud people and I actually love the collabs Louise did just with Phil during Christmas 2013. They also have great chemistry just being the two of them and for me definitely more enjoyable.

Dan never usually uploads videos that long to his main channel, so his decisions to not edit out little moments and make it short makes their friendship seem all the more "real."
Especially after watching the bit of the Hazel vlog... They were acting exactly like they did in the video in my opinion even though they didn't know they were being filmed.
But yeah, Dan tends to ramble a bit and drags things out which is probably boring to a lot of people. My sister isn't a huge Dan fan for that reason.

is dan actually getting louder, other than the fact he's more confident on camera? in videos like pinof 2, amazing dan 2 and the tree, he's way more invasive (?) than currently imo and constantly interrupts and jumps in and shouts, the only difference is that he seems more sure of himself now. idk, i think the problem in the video was that the ap persona was halting the video - he was changing the subjects and grabbing a cactus and it made the video seem cut. while dan was annoying, shouting and being dramatic didn't cut subjects in the same way. it's about altering personas slightly to suit the situation, and the ap persona made that situation odd

Yeah I dont really think you can say that Louise and Dan aren't comfortable around each other. They seemed like besties to me.
I liked the DINOF vid
It didn't have a sort of snappy humor, or sharp humor, which are things that I generally like more. I did think that it was very cute, and I was laughing a lot during it. Dan and Louise are ridiculous together, but not in a way that makes me cringe, as they are having fun, and are very funny.
I liked the first 2 minutes of the video so much. It dragged on a bit for me otherwise, but not in a bad way. Dan can definitely waffle sometimes, and Louise can apparently do that with him.

i personally think the loudness isn't really part of the dinof persona, that's just dan, because he is even louder and campy when he's doing a collab with someone he's comfortable with, and most ytbers drop their personas, at least a little bit, in those situations

I haven't laughed that hard in quite a while. I love Dan and Louise's chemistry, all the details were great cos they're so expressive in telling the story. When I see him all physically expressive like that I wonder what he'd have been like as an actor. Loved his voice sounding deeper too.

I also think his loudness is him rather than dinof, he always seems relaxed when he's going on a waffle in a liveshow or getting into a story like this, it seems to me it's him.

If you have to scream to make a story interesting it's probably not a good story. But I have to agree that Louise and Dan have a great friendship and really seem to enjoy each others company, which is something I adore.

I feel so many things about the videos that came out today, I don't even know where to begin and you guys have covered everything I care to talk about. It has been an adventure reading the last few pages.

dan wasnt like that last year. He was still loud and his dinof brand is still the same. Watch one of the first gaming videos and one of the the most recent ones and notice the difference.please someone explain to me what happened to him ?? He lost everything that made him real (even the annoying parts) and now he is like a machine programmed to react and talk. i can still enjoy those old videos but he really makes me dislike the new ones and he literally ruins the experience for me. Its not like i want to dislike him.Even his voice, not the sound of it or the screaming but his tone (that try hard presenter voice) now is different and unnatural.
