Do you guys suppose they'll drop something today? Didn't Dan (or was it Phil?) promise that 5 days leading up to the official release they'll drop BTS stuff?

Technically you are right, but I figured it would start on the 1st, since it's a saturday.

So one of the YTR features had to go on AP and yeah it's a very real possibility it was the documentary that was chosen for the least subbed channel as it's less important to them then the stage show. Have you ever bought a DVD where the movie itself was shoved somewhere on disc two and the blurb and disc 1 was focusing on the making of featurette?
(FYI I'm way more excited the the documentary ).

That being said in the grand scheme of things I really don't think putting something on Dan's channel over Phil's is going to greatly improve the sales because I'd imagine most of Dan's 2.3 million subs who don't sub AP are either very casual fans or people who just aren't into Phil/his content.
And if they are casual fans they most likely won't bother spending the money and if they aren't into Phil enough to sub even just to see his regular free collabs with Dan then a paid for feauture with both is probably not going to hold a great deal of appeal. Of course there will be exceptions to this but I still suspect the majority of people buying will be the people who sub both anyway.

[offtopic]I'm on a pewds binge as of last night and wow he talks about the boys a lot. Not in a bad way and they're never in the title or thumbnail (other youtubers take note - it is in fact possible)I think he has a genuine soft spot for them.

In the trailer it seems to be more him than Dan so it may be it was his baby or something. He does do the DITL videos after all and Dan never seems a fan of those. TBH I'm shocked that it is only 7% behind in views, and really proud that is all. 7% is not bad. What surprises me more is the low # of views in total. 650k in two days? Thats pretty low for dan's channel. 10 Days later and the teaser hasn't even hit 1mil. Wierd. Where is all the Youtube red cross promotion that is supposed to bring in new viewers?? guess it doesnt exist.

I know when YTR premiered in US I did watch Scare Pewdiepie, escape the night, and sing it, which introduced me to tons of youtubers I didn't know, but most of them just annoyed me and I haven't subbed to any of them lol. I Semi enjoyed the content, but it didn't make me want to see more of those people. With my free trial I am going to binge on jack and dean of all trades, gamelab, and bad internet. None of it is anything I want to really continue my payments for though. Then again we don't pay for tv because there just isn't enough to watch that we cant otherwise acquire. If we want to financially support the people, we buy merch. I dont use adblock, I watch the ad's on youtube so that is supportive too.

The second tweet doesn't make grammatical sense as he used the wrong were and it's bothering me. But basically YouTube pushed back something they were gonna release today? Huh, I wonder why... Ether way, the hype is coming tomorrow!!

Tbf I haven't seen BG yet but that's because I'm too tired all day to sit down and watch episodes. Hence I consume Youtube videos, bite sized videos I don't need to focus on in case I miss plot. Yay for long-term exhaustion

Kinda off topic but what do you guys think are the chances of Phil going to a Kanye concert with Dan?
I remember he went with Dan to that steve mcqueen/kanye thing in LA last year. I just like the thought of them taking part in each other's interests
