Just a random comment that semi pertains to the current discussion of information sharing:
I am currently just letting YouTube auto play in the background while I do crap around the house and “I am God sonic.exe” is on now. It started with Dan saying he didn't want to share his download folder with us, and blurred it out. He doesn't have to say anything about his download folder at all. But now he said it- Before which I didn't even think about his freaking downloads folder, but now I am thinking about it. WHAT IS IN THE GODDAMN FOLDER?! Seriously, there is something to be said for his ability to divulge just enough information to interest people, but then not give them enough info for them to actually know anything.

Probably porn those "totally legally acquired" TV show episodes mentioned in the DITL...

If Deppy would ever come out (if they are together, I'm having my Phan-agnostic phase) then I would DEFINITELY continue watching them. I love them, together, separate, as individuals and as a team.

Possibilities of it being something related to them: Pictures, maybe even gifs or something made by fans (I'm sure they have some of them saved). Then again, maybe some pictures of someone Dan thirsts over? who the fuck knows....

I guess D+P don't hang with the merch crew at all. It's possible they casually hang out with the stage crew when time permits but so far for most of their public sightings it seems like it's only been with Drake and/or that manager lady? Otherwise I think it's just the two of them. I could be wrong though.

I agree that this is strange. They took their bus driver to the niagara falls, but otherwise, yes. We've only seen them with Drake and the flipside lady.
The only logical explanation is that there really is a disconnect betweet the stage crew and the merch crew. The merch girls always talk about the "merch crew" as well, so maybe those two groups just don't mix much

might be anti social, but spending no time at all with their crew would be strange and i don't believe they are too arrogant, because as others have said, they did seem to hang out with the british stage crew (at least a bit and they missed them after the tour) and some of them are the same people now i think.

The merch girls' social media is a real blessing btw. I've thought so many times when i saw their tweets and instagram posts that i'd love for to tweet something similar. I could be so easy if they wouldn't overthink it so much. I understand that they are very conscious about what they post, but they take it to the next level, to a point where they seem completely incapable of spontaneity and their online presence seems robotic and ...stale? I love them, but if IDB wasn't here to entertain me, i would be bored of them at this point. I've been loving the phanfics you've been posting. Didn't know i needed them in my life, but clearly i do.
And i pray to every deity i don't believe in that Dan really does film a dinof video on monday and that it's "good". Don't have much hope though.

I think it's gonna be about cat whiskers. Not expecting him to actually paint his nails, sadly, unlike half of my dash. But a Going Deep would be great, because if nothing else it'd be the both of them, and I am always here for that.

I guess not. Really have no idea over here. But yeah I don't think it's going to be sketches, because I assume that they also didn't take any props with them, such as wigs ect. Plus like you said, that would probably involve too much editing time. That's why I am curious about what video he is going to film.

While I don't think that they're intentionally avoiding or minimizing their time with the merch team and other crew members, I don't put it above them to be somewhat aloof about that sort of thing, especially when they're working on such an intense schedule. You've probably come across at least one set of twins or very close friends or a couple that is so internally focused that they don't even see or think about anyone else. What probably ends up happening is that they nip away when they can and either don't think to or don't have time to rally the troops. It's more to do with their focus on one another than the exclusion of everyone else but it can certainly rub others the wrong way. It baffles me how glued to the hip they are at times...like there's never a single instance of Dan saying "I want to check out this...on my own." OK, I can't even think of anything that he'd want to see that Phil might not (and vice versa) and that's saying something.

All this being said, from what we've seen the merch crew seems tight as well so maybe it goes both ways?

Yes please He's such a gifted storyteller and I want to hear more about these interesting characters he's been meeting around the country...or anything really. That hamster one is my favorite DINOF of all time.

I have wondered how Martyn and Cornelia fit into the disconnect between deppy and the crews. Also wonder about which bus they're normally on. Some tweets almost sound like they are not on the merch bus (I think at one point Juliet tweeted from Canada saying she'd see Cornelia in Detroit) but other times they are definitely in a different city than Dan and Phil.

If Martyn and Cornelia aren't on the bus with Dan and Phil, then it's probably just d&p, flipside manager (is there just one manager traveling with them, or two?) and potentially security, though some people said they've seen Drake closing the bus doors from the outside for Dan and Phil before. I'm still inclined to think he's probably on their bus, though.

The merch people minus D+P kind of confuses me also. Its not b/c D+P aren't socializing, like whatever, we know what they are like. But Martyn and Cornelia are spending lots of time with those people, and you would think that D+P would at least spend time with them. I guess it must be a scheduling thing. I would find it really weird if they were avoiding everybody including people that are practically (and literally)family.

D&P have a 13 hour bus ride to Nashville after the DC show, so not a whole lot of time "off" to do the video. They'll probably go wheels up almost immediately after the show, and get to Nashville between 10-11am on Monday (although they will "gain" an hour because Nashville is in the Central time zone.) I guess that gives them the better part of the day to shoot something. Protip: since Dan professes a love of cocktails, they should definitely stop by the Patterson House on their down day - it's a cool off-the-beaten-path joint modeled after Prohibition Era speakeasys ...

Slightly OT: Another dreary, rainy day here on the east coast / Mid Atlantic region, so hope of new footage of D&P enjoying the DC sites is diminished - too bad because they are literally a few steps from the White House and the National Mall (where all the cool museums are.) There is a big bike event this morning #DCBR that's shutting down streets downtown - perhaps D&P will get motivated take up that fitness hobby when they return home. After all, Phil can easily talk to Dan while riding bikes....

[offtopic]I was procrastinating slightly, (what else is new right,) so I googled ''Larry proof'' for the giggles and because I was genuinely curious to see if they had any substantial ''proof'' because I don't know that much about the 1D fandom and my God, was that a trip to Crazytown. Some of the Larries make the most invasive Phan shippers seem like perfectly reasonable and well-adjusted humans in comparison. All the death threats to family members and baby denials. I feel like I need to look up pictures of puppies now to make myself feel better.
If the boys do end up dating other people, I sincerely hope this fandom will never get that nasty. Everything is so nice and cozy now, I would just hate to see that happen.[/offtopic]

Context (as in how they come to be with other people) plays a huge part in it situations like this, but I think with phan it'll be a different kind of nasty because a lot of people will feel (imo, justifiably) misled and manipulated. I don't know a lot about larry but I gather that their history of "proof" isn't nearly as concrete as Dan or Phil's. To be honest, almost no RPF ships do have that, which is why I think some people stubbornly stick with not believing in phan. Most fandom environments paint the 'they're actually together' crowd as crazies and some people come into phandom unable to accept that people who believe Dan and Phil are together are doing so with some serious weight behind the theory, not just the projection and wishful thinking that make up most RPF ships, especially lgbt ones.
