Yes I love Hannah. He phanimation videos are great and I completely agree with her. The phandom can be completely over the top some of the time. Sometimes they forget they are real people with real feelings (like when people shout "is Phan real? At them).

I love Hannah! I even watch her vlogs. She is funny and smart and charming. Glad to see she is getting more subscribers. She has great comedic timing and picks the best parts to animate.

It would be great if Louise did find (or "find") her glittery video with them. I'd love to know why they ended up with glitter on their hands or whatever it was Phil said.

Love old-style Phil so much. I love that he had his hair so long. It's so rare to see a guy with long hair in a style rather than limp or froofy, not that there's anything wrong with just leaving it there, but Phil's hair looked great. His energy too, I love him so much in those old videos, I want to time travel and subscribe from the start (and vlog, tweet him for tips and be living the life now too, so burnt out atm clearing out junk at home is giving me life). It's weird to think what I was doing at that time. Time's flown since I went into IT from teaching in 2008 and it doesn't seem that long ago, it's strange to think their whole rise of stardom has been in that time.

Hm. That video was a mixture of valid points and narrow views but she was very articulate and everyone's entitled to their opinions. I just hope people don't actually take her word as some kind of authority. Shipping real people is not an inherently bad thing, though I totally agree with her statements about respect and keeping it in its place.

They see each other a lot according to who? I mean, sure they see her more often than they see someone like Cat but I was specifically comparing Louise seeing them to seeing Gleamers. Just to clarify, I never said/ I don't think they're just acquaintances. I just said she sees/hangs with Gleamers a lot more than D+P and would probably (imo) think of them first. She even pointed out that Phil lives in London so I assume she did that to emphasize that hypothetically speaking, if they were to date, distance would prevent them from seeing each other often. So I think that can safely be applied to their friendship as well.

In the video after someone suggested Dan, she laughed after saying "Ummm, no" like she had to briefly consider what it would be like. She then proceeded to basically imply that Dan couldn't handle her lol. To me that doesn't seem like she's covering up for anything but rather she was thinking what it would be like to be in a relationship with Dan. I don't think she would put much thought into it if she knew Dan wasn't single. Idk, I'm not saying that she doesn't know/suspect anything of their relationship, I'm just saying based on the liveshow, I personally didn't think her reaction was suspicious.

I've been watching Phil since 2008, but I definitely wasn't as obsessive as I am now. Considering Phil only had 28 000 followers on Twitter in August 2010 thanks WaybackMachine, which was only about 25% of his YT subscribers (compared to the almost 75% that follow his Twitter now), I don't know how many people really cared to extensively investigate his personal life like they do now. For that matter, I personally didn't think much at all about dan, he just showed up, and I didn't feel the need for any sort of explanation or backstory at the time.

No need to apologize! As we've seen, Louise has definitely hung out with D+P at these youtuber events but I meant on a regular basis back in the UK, I don't think she hangs with them as often as she does with the Gleamers (with whom she'll hang out with at youtuber events AND on her spare time just for fun/collabs/etc. quite often).

Anyway, I have a feeling either later today or tomorrow we'll be getting a tweet that they've returned to England!

(Granted, not that little, but the social media we used was nowhere as big as it is now.) I got sucked into the phandom one year ago next month, when I searched for Sims 4 playthroughs and found Dil. In all the comments, people were referring to things they did and said in 2012 and 2009 and when I looked up videos of them back then, I recognized them immediately (they changed SO much, I honestly don't even think they look like the same people). I knew of Phil because my friend LOVED Pj, and I knew of him as this really weird internet famous guy. I actually didn't even know he got famous through YouTube, since a lot of social media celebs at the time just did YouTube as one of many things. I recognized Dan because I remembered him as this mildly popular guy kind of trying to break into the scene. I know they flirted heavily back then and everyone assumed they were together. I remember someone asked them if they were dating on a live chat thing (I do remember specifics, when/what/who etc, but I have absolutely no receipts and it was literally so long ago that I could be mistaken because I kind of wrote it off a bit at the time and was focused on talking to people I met in the chat so I'm not going to go into detail in the main thread. Also why this is under a spoiler) and they laughed and when pressed for an answer, Dan shook his head no. Literally no one believed them because they were flirting to the point where they seemed like they were in their own little world and everyone else kind of just let them be. Not too much different to them now, in all honesty .

I agree with the bolded. I often have moments were I doubt actually believe I'm watching the same people. I don't know if I would have immediately recognized either of them if I hadn't directly searched for them.

I feel like I definitely heard of that live chat somewhere (after the fact), but I wasn't too invested in them little did I know. Not knowing much about their interactions on other social media, I think I just assumed that people were pushing it because they were cute emo boys, though thinking back on it now, I feel like that trend was probably on it's way out by 2010.

Literally no one believed them because they were flirting to the point where they seemed like they were in their own little world and everyone else kind of just let them be. Not too much different to them now, in all honesty .

i don't remember any other specific time I encountered them, I just knew of them generally and this specific incident I remember in detail because of reasons completely unrelated to D&P. This was sometime in mid-November 09 and the thing was that nobody was invested in them. Like maybe their lil fans but it wasn't a big thing. Their flirting was just so blatant that day that it kind of made everyone else... I don't want to say uncomfortable because that's not the right word, but it was like... what's going on? What's the joke? I'll tell you the actual details in a PM because this probably doesn't make sense but I don't feel comfortable putting it on the main thread bc it's incredibly specific.
