I really relate to the “no autonomy when you’re younger” thing. My dad is always going on and on about how lovely it was to be a child with no responsibilities, but I don’t see it that way. To me, being under 18 was just rule after rule and I didn’t enjoy having such strict parents. I’m not trying to make any claims about how much Dan enjoyed his childhood but I do relate to that one statement he made about having no autonomy and that sucks.
