Ok, so my thought the other day: when they self film, Phil usually positions himself on the left side and Dan usually positions himself on the right. Examples:

So I've never been one to think they have separate sleeping bedrooms for nefarious reasons, or only sleep in one room 100% of the time, but I do think IF they sleep in the same bed (for whatever reasons), each man claims a side of the bed.

Ohhhh, my friend. You are not too far down this road. I have been keeping a close watch on who takes each side of Phil's the bed.

Phil has a tendency to blow-dry/straighten his hair sitting on the left side. Every video in which he "wakes up", he's on the left side. He clearly very much sleeps on the left side. In fact, I've always wanted to argue that it's weird, because everyone I've ever known with their own bedroom sleeps closer to the door if they don't share the bed with anyone, but that's based on personal knowledge so I digress... Phil's belongings also have a tendency to sit on the left bedside table, while we generally see the right empty (or with a mysterious charger ).

So your conclusion is not wrong by any means. It's very much a theory me and my subscribe to.

I think they would definitely have "their side" of the bed, but I think Dan would have the left and Phil would have the right. In all three sleepless night with Phils, Phil was on the right. I think it's like that in the DITLs too? And, also in the DITLs, I think Dan has been on the left a few times. Plus if Phil had the right it would make sense why Dan would go to that nightstand rather than the left.

Yeah I've seen people complain on Twitter for a few weeks now. I don't think D&P are affected much, when I looked at Phil's page earlier his views seemed fine (as long as it's not about the tour or book anyway).

The views have been stuck on 497,986 for like an hour now though, I was waiting for it to go over 500k but it won't do it. Glitchy mcglitch. Maybe the phandom broke it a little with all the rewatching, whoops.

Now I'm just cracking up over Phil's reaction to Dan's moth fic starting around 7:35 (is his head turn and little frown provoked by Dan unexpectedly calling the moth 'he'? ): his face starts out like 'lol where is this going' and then Dan takes awhile to get out the words 'dusty bitch' and Phil's face goes like '..wtf' like he looks a little concerned about it, I'm dying. Is Dan's dirty talk not usually so aggressive i mean what.

I agree with you guys mentioning how relaxed they were. The first thing that came to mind about 30 seconds into the video was how chill the two seemed. At first I presumed that some people would devise theories about them getting bored of PINOF or commenting on their attitudes, but I'm glad that everyone saw the difference between being at ease and being apathetic/annoyed.
The 'rebranding' has certainly taken place. (in a good way imo) Phil's demeanor seems to be a bit more, for lack of a better word, mature? dunno. Over the years he seems to have grown this kiddy persona that sold him as being the lil innocent smol bean (lbr phil is adorable and there's no shame in that) But after a while it started to mask his personality and you couldn't get many candid thoughts or moderately mature content. That's not to say that he's being fake or whatever, it just started to seem like his comments on things and side note banter became kiddy and ranDoM. I think that there's a playful side of Phil that acts this way, but it got amplified and turned into the 'branding'. That persona rose around 2013/2014. (maybe that's what dil meant in tatinof when he said phil felt the need to change so people would like him? )

Out of curiosity, how much longer do you guys think PINOF is going to continue? I think they'll at least stretch it out until the 10th or have some kind of finale. (is it wrong that i'm scared of things like that to go away? maybe that's just me being stubborn and resistant to change haha)

pinof is probably my least favorite of all the deppy traditions, partly because there's too many expectations, partly because it can get cringe pretty easily, but i really enjoyed this one and have watched it 4 times already

funnily enough, my first reaction was 'well, that was uneventful', because after everything that has happened recently i was expecting at least one thing that made me go 'oh shit!', but nope, it was the most chill pinof since probably pinof 2, and after coming to terms with the fact that nothing shocking happened that became my favorite part about it, they even somehow managed to make it feel not too much like a 'dance monkey dance', which is amazing considering the questions that were in the tag

also so much normal touching yay!!! can't believe i'm pointing out that they now touch like normal humans that are comfortable with each other touch as something worth appreciating (as opposite to the 'look at us trying really hard to touch like normal people but not quite getting it right' that we got in pinof7), being in the phandom is so weird sometimes

When Phil said "we might be back next year" it did plant a little seed of 'it's coming to an end' in me, but Dan immediately followed up with "unless we die", so . It depends on how the next few years pan out. I think they'll keep making PINOFs as long as people want them and watch them, but youtube's a tricky beast so it's hard to predict how much longer that'll be.
Tbh I'm fine with this being the last one as long as they keep making other videos together

PINOF thoughts: I was so underwhelmed the first time but i have rewatched it about 6 times now and can say I really enjoyed it. It has the right amount of quirky, weird randomness that a pinof should add with some additional bonuses. The one scene out of place was the water scene which I wish they edited out.

I was hoping for a bridal style pick up but alas we got the drunk lad carrying other lad out of bar. I wonder if bloopers will have some phil carrying dan action because that i have to see

I understand why they try to keep the contact to a minimum in videos. It's because every touch they do is so meaningful and implicit. You can feel the comfortableness between them and the trust and genuine appreciation they have for each other. Phil breaking and laughing at Dan, or Dan pushing Phil to stop, those moments meant alot. It made me imagine them curled under the bryony quilt watching a movie and Dan makes annoying noises so Phil fondly smiles and pushes him. Or them laying on their stomachs on the bed on their phones or on tumblr sharing posts and tweets and laughing. I didn't feel the fanservice because I genuinely thought they enjoyed themselves and basked in the tradition that is pinof.

They both put their bombers on door, maybe because of ease of access or because they want to keep them up to prevent them from being crumpled. Phil has shown his closet before and he keeps his tees and button ups in there. need to make room for the sex toys ahem

I enjoyed Pinof a lot. Kind of hated Pinof 7, I still can't rewatch it because their highstrungedness (is that a word?) stresses me out, but Pinof 8 was nice and chill. It felt like THEY had the control, not the viewers, and they were very creative with their answers. It was a laidbackly (definitely a word) eventful Pinof.

Also, got strong platonic vibes from this and it's funny that the more open they are the less I believe in the "ship" and the more I believe in the "friend"ship.

All I got from this was 'actually married' vibes.

Which, to be honest, is very friendship heavy. It's not nervous flirting. It's not giddy sexual tension. It's not that trepidatious 'everything is overwhelming but we're gonna smile and do this' jumpiness.

It's just two people who are deeply, wonderfully comfortable with each other making each other laugh in the silliest, most lovely ways because that's what they want to be doing. And that is what a relationship of seven years should look like. Best friends, and more.

This explains PINOF 8 perfectly (at least in my trashy mind).

I expected pinof to be cringy and not as great as the former ones, which is why I didn't watch it until this morning. Low expectations are great because you can't be disappointed! I really loved it, I agree with a lot of the things you guys already mentioned: they were less hyper and I was surprised they didn't seem fed up with it

I love that people are analysing Phil's room already, what else did I expect But I don't really think we'll find anything in the background. They know us and will remove everything they wouldn't want us to see before filming. Of course there's a small chance that they forgot to remove something, but it's very unlikely I enjoy seeing all those screenshots and theories though, my life is boring and my doctor told me to stay away from uni for the rest of this year, so I have a lot of spare time.

Like many people, I loved this PINOF a lot! They managed to even top the Anime Cosplay video. No looking down on phandom/fanservice, so so much physical contact and fooling around, candid reactions and in-jokes. Some questions that were picked were slightly more risque then usual even in comparison to PINOF 7. Liked seeing both of them unapologetically shaking off their old selves, even if it's only for 1 video (hopefully not and they will continue the trend).

Only surprised about 0 BONCAs mention - I expected something like "From the creators of the award-winning 7-episode series". But I fully support the decision to not emphasize winning this particular award.

It's weird that with that many views their vid isn't on the UK Trending page. Casper Lee's vid is on there, Tomska's vlog is there, whenever Zoe or Alfie upload i always see it on Trending.
