Overall adored the video, adored cheeky sassy Phil, adored their relaxed touchy dynamic, adored the fact that Dan genuinely appreciated a Phil rec and didnt shit on the game but actually tried to enjoy it for his husband. anathema made a good point that we can't always boil the things these two do for "boyfriends"- i think it undermines the love they have for each other. They genuinely respect each other and try to work around each other and their affections and adoration isn't only ( ) because theyre dating but because their friendship also runs really deep. I dont think what they have can be defined by us, but all the demon phannies and antis can agree on that one fact that these boys genuinely love each other and as of now are the most important in each others lives. tbh i don't really understand why people think deppy might like idb. just because we're a bunch of older fans who don't swoon, squeal and exchange memes, doesn't mean we're better than tumblr or twitter. we dissect their videos and analyze every small detail to determine what it might mean, we have pages on pages speculating about dan's relationship with his parents (something he wants to keep private, it appears), we keep tabs on their lies about sharing clothes/their mentions of attraction/other stuff, we have all kinds of #gates e.g. lubegate, busgate... if anything, i think they would be more turned off by older fans who spend their time thoroughly speculating about their relationship than by teenagers being themselves e.g. engaged in harmless shipping and making gifs of cute moments. yeah, we don't try & hack them or harass them on twitter, but we're still being kinda creepy here.

Too much truth. I'm just going to pretend they'll never read what we write here so I don't become all anxious about it. I think a healthy ammount of curiosity about your faves is normal, not just in teenage fans, and I haven't been here for long but at least I've seen no one on here try to pry into their private lives or bother them. We're speculating based on the things they've shared, I think it's just human nature to want to know more about people you admire or like to watch online. i personally enjoy reading discussions and analysis of their supposed relationship and come up with alternate interpretations (which would usually be antifan, sometimes not). but i do feel uncomfortable when the talk turns to sexual discussions (like the top/bottom thing) that would take pages of people headcanoning all kinds of stuff or like today, dan's parents... it's an interesting read, but it makes me squirm a little because i feel like we're really crossing the line & people also project a lot in the process. it's also sad that dan usually gets subjected to most uncomfortable discussions strained relationships with parents, weight, mental health issues.. poor guy, i really hope he hasn't seen any of that.

I agree. This is major thing that alienated me from Tumblr, not that I ever even made a phan account, but now I am reluctant to even lurk there anymore as going through the tags. Thankfully, I don't find the tags as bad as they used to, possibly because the chemistry between deppy have become closer and more predictable there does not seem to be as much ridiculous tin-hatting and juvenile discussion or joking around top/bottom

I agree that this site can sometimes be a bit much, but then again this discussion will continue elsewhere, anyway, maybe here there can be some structure to the conversation and avoid anything completely speculative without concrete proof

Loved this vid, might be one of my favs. Echoing what others have said at this having a livestream feel to it. 35 minutes of deppy bants? Yes please. Also I love both chill (re: not screaming) Dan and teacher Phil, and they seemed so natural as if we're peeking into a night of them gaming together without cameras rolling. Their attitudes plus the music and retro gameplay was a nice way to relax after writing a night exam, and I think that this will be my go-to video for when I'm sick or need to wind down.
