When Dan made the comment to Phil in the first one that '14 year old Dan and 14 year old Phil would probably be friends' (don't have exact wording), it made me think about how well suited they are intellectually (even without my on). I really cannot imagine one of them with someone else.

I don’t know what they’re talking about, they obviously have no experience shipping (also considering how alienated the two of them are from shipping culture in general, let’s be honest). For one, the tension and conflict between Alex and Ryan is intriguing, and I feel like there would be a lot of dom/sub fanfic written with Daddy!Ryan involved. Just saying.

Final thoughts:
I notice how shit Emily is in the game play. Do you guys think Phil was just alluding to how the side-kick/female characters in games are sometimes…a waste of space? Or do you think he wanted to make her sort of “weak” so Alex could sort of be the knight in shining armour? Because, making her a deliberately weak player HAD to have a reason, and wouldn’t be accidental. The only other reason behind it is so not to make the player too powerful by having a powerful companion, but then later Jake shows up so that doesn’t really stand well

I enjoyed this video overall, not as good as the first, but I felt the design in heaven was pretty amazing, and I loved Phil’s trolling and “threesome” jokes slipping in, in a really tasteful kind of way for a fourteen-year old boy.

I’m sad that there’s no proper conclusion, and probably never will be. While Phil could come up with a story, I’m not sure he has time now to put into it. Also, I read a comment that at Alex’s funeral, his “Dad” made an appearance! Either a plot hole that young Phil did not realize as he was writing as he went, or Satan was disguised as a human to attend and be inconspicuous and knew that Alex had to ascend to the warrior mage level for personal growth before asking him to join his side. Was definitely not expecting another video so soon so that was a nice surprise, and I liked it just as much as the first one. I haven't really rewatched many of their longer videos but I already kind of want to watch these ones again. Good job Phil-from-the-past. The "holy cow" actually made me laugh out loud, and so did the threesome with the angel and her boyfriend. ("You were great" ) I would never have had the patience to sit and make something like this, especially when I was 14, and even with the lolRanDoM humour the actual story was pretty good.

I was not expecting the second video so soon, but I'm definitely not complaining! I'm home sick today so this was exactly what I needed - I think I enjoyed this one even more than yesterday's tbh. Not much to say other than what's already been said (lmao @ the threesome part, my heart is content @ how genuinely engaged and supportive Dan is, I'm v impressed with 14 year old Phil's creativity and dedication). I also liked the bit when they were going through the long galaxy maze and Phil said in regards to one of the stars "We're there. I can see our house", idk I just thought that was sweet.

Overall, a great little series!! It was such a unique and personal thing, and reminded me of just what sets danandphilGAMES apart from other gaming channels and why I've never really been able to sit through any other gaming channels (apart from Rose and Rosie's) - it's their history and their chemistry with each other and the fact that each video is so distinctly 'them'

Also happy one year anniversary to IDB!! That means it's about a year since I re-entered the phandom, this forum has been such a bright spot in what's otherwise been a very difficult year. It's such a nice distraction, thank you everyone involved with running the forum for all your hard work

I'm a bit late to the party, but I also really enjoyed the second video! I'm not really an RPG fan (confession: i couldn't finish their undertale series ) but I did enjoy this one. Probably because it was made by Phil.

I watched the video while I worked out and so I wasn't completely paying attention, and whenever the threesome bit happened I literally had to play it again thinking I had imagined it in some kind of exercise-induced haze. I think it was kind of interesting that is was a MMF threesome rather than a FFM. But I don't really think it means anything lol... just thought it was hilarious.

Seems like they are really hinting at the idea of them creating a game together. I feel like that's something in the works just waiting to be released. I'd play it! (Even if it was an RPG...)

These two vids. Were so. Everything. Fun, funny, sweet, typo-laden, nostalgic. Ahhhh. I kind of don't want to even bring anything up to focus on because just overall they were so great? I don't know how Phil has never brought this up before. All that said though, I just need to talk about the threesome thing. Yeah, he was 14, it doesn't need to mean anything, nothing ever really needs to mean anything. But it's so interesting to me that at 14 he included the specific line 'Wanna join me and my boyfriend tonight' in a game he knew he would be playing with a group of his friends. It could have been the angel by itself, or he could have made that walking man character offer himself/other girl character offer herself, essentially making the specifics the player's choice. But the one option offered was the angel and her boyfriend in a package deal. And maybe it was intended to be funny in a 'lol random sex' kind of way, but the boyfriend being part of it was so matter of fact? Like 'thanks you were great' is just the end of it. The main male character in the game just had sex with an angel and her boyfriend and now it's time to continue the quest or whatever, nbd. I'm having lots of emotions about Phil being a lovely human right now. More than usual. And amplifying those feelings is him just casually reasserting it in the video.

Again: nothing to overly focus on, but also nothing that needs to be glossed over, just nbd. No offense, UK, but I've got some dark grey image in my mind of growing up in 'the north' that involves a lot of repression and bullying if you don't stick to expectations (I mean, it's the same growing up.. anywhere. but for some reason I assume it's more pronounced for that area) and the thought of Phil having a group of friends at 14 that he felt comfortable putting that in as just a thing that happens in the game is just a nice little addition to the puzzle of Phil, both past and present. And yeah it's such a small thing, and such a small part of this whole game (which again, was just a joy to watch? I might even place it above Bubble Bobble and that's my shit right there), but I love it a lot. I love lamp.
