I know they announced going to Japan beforehand but still something about Dan freely announcing where his vacationing at the start of the holiday is suspicious af to me. Definitely don't think his there for personal reasons.

Also that tweet is weird and doesn't sound Dan-like right down from the wording to the choice (and amount) of emojis in it. There's more emojis in that tweet than like his last 100 combined.
Good observations!

also dan put his location on for that tweet and set it to the bahamas which you can do from anywhere (my friend who is currently in ohio aka not the bahamas just did it) so i'm side-eyeing the whole thing. like,,,, what is he doing.

I'm curious if Dan will actually allow himself to pick up a bit of a tan - the vampire look should be retired along with the straighteners. !Rebranding!

I thought the Frye Fest imploded?

maybe, that would be hilarious. still not sure that could be all it's about though

How long have they been going to Florida as a family holiday?

Dan's tweet is fishy though, it's out of the ordinary for him to use THAT many emojis....
that would be the most straightforward answer, but makes his tweet confusing. if he was there for a family thing, i don't see why he would tweet to bring attention to it. i think they'd want to keep it on the down low to have an easier time. since it wouldn't be expected.

since it's been pointed out by allsaintshowell that he could say he's there from anywhere, could the bahamas be a decoy to throw us off of something? not sure why but, possible i guess.

There are obviously two options:
1. Destination wedding.
2. Deppy and their newly adopted son Miles are taking their first vacation as a family.

context: i have been with my boyfriend for almost 6 years now. there is nothing platonic about our relationship and we have a healthy sex life. but, if we moved in together, i would definitely have my own bed to sleep in, and potentially my own room. i'm a light sleeper, he snores, we're both restless, and neither of us are well-rested when we share a bed. furthermore, we're both highly introverted and while we love spending time together, sometimes we both need to be alone, in our own space.

this feels completely normal to me! when i'm unconscious, what does my proximity to my loved one matter?? why should that determine the status of our relationship/closeness/sex-life/anything?!
perhaps it's not strange to me because my parents, married 30+ years, have had separate bedrooms my entire life. they love each other deeply, have had a weekly date night every week for those 30 years, and i know they've had sex throughout the years because i have a biological younger sibling! but again, they like their sleep uninterrupted and prefer their own space. that certainly doesn't undermine their love, sense of romance, or sex life.

that it makes more sense to people that one of deppy's bedrooms would be a set or that they'd book hotel rooms with multiple beds to maintain a platonic illusion rather than just that they might prefer sleeping alone/having their own space --that seems borderline delusional and baffling to me. they're such large men! i'm sure they both take up tons of space! i think it's limited to believe that their relationship is only validly romantic if they sleep together. we already know they spend all their time together and there's so much more persuasive evidence in favor of their relationship being romantic. so to me, their beds mean nothing. (which isn't to say that phil's room definitely isn't a set. I can totally understand wanting to keep his filming space separate from where he sleeps/spends personal time. these are just my two cents that have been rattling around my head for quite a while.)
Whilst I completely agree with you, it's more the fact that Phil's room appears so much SMALLER that's confusing me. If they had seperate rooms I'd love it! It's probably healthier than spending 24/7 next to each other. But Phil has moved house only to get a smaller bedroom, with his drawers so close to the bed that he'd barely be able to open them? It just doesn't add up - they moved to gain space, not to lose it!
British houses are much, much smaller than ones in North America. This is doubly so in places like London, which are significantly overcrowded, face a housing shortage, and have a lot of historic buildings. British people are used to much smaller rooms/living spaces than our North American counterparts - in fact, our view of what constitutes a large/small room is often completely different to those of Americans or Canadians. (Source: I have american friends, have lived in America, and watch a hell of a lot of those trashy property moving shows). Phil's room does seem a little cramped to me, but not ridiculously so. It's also likely that he's still figuring out the layout, or has the room half filled with boxes. I do think it's a smaller room, though calling it a "closet" is a little harsh...(we don't have built-in closets in England, we have wardrobes instead).

I don't think it's realistic that this bedroom is a set. That seems really odd to me.
nope.

Haven't they (or at least Dan in his last live show) said specifically that Phil's family are on holiday in Florida though? Do you think they would lie that outwardly (especially just to tweet about being somewhere else a week later).

This is my thought! It makes sense to me b/c he's around a ton of other Youtubers at Playlist, so he probs fit in some time to film a collab, and lost whatever challenge they were doing, and the other person decided to have a little fun with their chance to tweet from his account.

Don't see the point in that being a tweet another youtuber would make - it's not funny. Only people obsessively familiar with Dan's tweet style would get it as out of character.

Could the Bahamas be a Youtube Rewind thing? Don't know if that would make sense or not.

While I didn't like the part where Phil reacted to ASMR videos, I found it hilarious whne he tried to his owb, I like that he is quite fast to improvise and be funny.

Regarding the bedroom, maybe he pushed the bed so he doesn't have to show most of it? Dan is being very reluctant to show his bedroom, and maybe Phil is ok with it but he doesn't want to show all of it. And it's not like he uploads every day t to be a hassle to push the bed around every time. Yhe lack of decoration may be that they're still unpacking stuff and Phil had to film this before going to Orlando.

Edited: Dan's tweet, the whole location, last sentence and the fact that he put two emoji people instead of one, things to think about.

hm, so first of all, i do think it's possible that they have separate rooms! i think it would make a lot of sense for them to want to have their own spaces.

however, i do think it's realistic that he would have a bedroom just as a filming backround. first, because dan has his own space that's just for filming. second, because they said multiple times how they wouldn't be bringing the camera upstairs. and so it seems odd that phil's room would be on the lower level with all of their filming rooms and then dan gets the rest of the place to himself basically.

and as far as the room size difference, i just don't think there's a reason phil would downsize his room that much. his room before was pretty big and, as others have said, if space was a reason for moving i don't know why he would move into a room that much smaller. the space between the bed and the dresser is almost nonexistent.

I thought the video was hilarious. (I saw the notification late and when my husband heard me squeal and that it was ASMR he came to watch with me and was cracking up). Thank you for explaining that was a mirror edge on the head board, I thought it was inlaid with the same colors as his duvet, but that makes total sense. I hate the dresser, I really liked his old one. Very good observations about the assesories being similar but not at all the same. It's like a mirror room.

I don't think Phil's original accessories would be allowed in Dan's moon room, it would mess up his aesthetic. So my guess is that Phil has a second room upstairs with his old dresser, maybe but perhaps not, his second set of color block bedding (personally I would want a change) where he can sleep when he wants/needs. (My husband I would love the option of a second bed for some nights, but not all. Dan and Phil may be tall, but they are also clingy, snugly and afraid of the dark). I think they are both separating their personal/professional lives with boundaries, they are just doing it in different ways.

Re the ASMR, I hadn't really heard about it until one of them had mentioned it, maybe in a live show, or was it DAPGOOSE? So while I've never checked it out, I do know that I'm sensitive to such things. I get crazy tingles whenever there is chanting in movies, think The Craft and Practical Magic. I wasn't watching with headphones, but Phil's whispering gave me a slight reaction, where the videos did not. I love the way Phil said "lady voice" and his reaction to "Thor". His reactions to the glittery and neopolitan goo... my goodness, it was very post-baking Phil.

Dan's tweet... I'm so curious. My first thought was destination wedding, but I doubt it.

Hmmm. This is a good point. I guess that just seems like the most likely theory to me, but with DnP I guess it could also be something crazy.

And I agree that Louise's tweet adds to the suspicion for me...

i just had to catch up with so many replies omg. ive been busy all weekend. liked the new phil video! it was good, i like asmr a lot but dont experience it, but i do enjoy it nonetheless. my favorites are the slime ones, theyre at least very soothing to me.

my thoughts on the dan selfie: my fave selfie ever he's done so far i saw it during my sisters birthday party and i internally screamed and actually starting tearing up. then i showed my mom and her friend the selfie and they rolled their eyes lol. the phil selfie with a baby was very cute omg. the thought of them with babies makes me squeal!
