I wonder how much time they spend thinking about it. Do they discuss it? Do they go shopping with matching each other in mind? Or do they just buy clothes that they like and then work with what they have in their closets?

Maybe it just comes naturally to them now.
(gigs )

When do you think they did start matching on purpose? I think the first time I saw it was the Star Wars premiere (still bitter we never got a good shot of those matching suits, even though there were professional photographers there) but that might just be the first time it happened after I was in the fandom.

I'm way behind like usual so I have a question about them missing their flight story. I'm sure it's a dumb question/ I don't understand something properly, but I'm so confused right now:

Why does it matter that Phil booked the car in the wrong time zone?
From how they described it, it seems like the car had to wait for them while they looked for the passport. So even if the car arrived an hour late due to Phil booking it wrong, they still weren't ready even then?! Also, how did they not notice the car arrived an hour late until they were in it?
I'm having a stress.

this is why i maintain that it was dan's fault that they missed the flight, lmao. even if they would've been pressed for time, being an hour late, they still would've gotten there. if i remember correctly, they said that they were like 2 minutes too late for the plane, and it took dan like 10 minutes to find his passport. so, to answer your question, i don't think it does matter too much that phil booked the car an hour late. i'm pretty sure that if dan had his passport ready, they would've gotten to vidcon on time, with a story about how phil booked the car late so they had to sprint across the airport, but managed to get on the plane with just a couple minutes to spare

It sounds like the car was an hour late but they factored in having two extra hours anyway. So in either case if they'd only had one mishap, it would have been fine; if it had just been the car booked an hour late they'd have the extra hour, and if it had just been Dan with the passports lost it would have been fine. But the whole 'two halves of a whole idiot' concept was in full play here; it's genuinely both of their fault.

As someone who's family is always three hours early for flights (we once turned up 4 hours early to discover our aeroplane was delayed 4 hours... 8 hours in an airport is NOT fun) this confuses me.

Phil booked the car an hour late, which makes sense if I think about it as them having a routine of booking the taxi to get to the airport what I'm guessing is about 90 minutes - 2 hours before take-off. Say the flight took off at 3pm, Phil books the taxi for 1pm which means they have 2 hours. Phil doesn't realise he booked it in GMT not BST (which makes sense if he booked it online and the website didn't automatically adjust to BST) so the taxi is actually coming at 2pm giving them an hour before take-off. They don't check it again because they travel frequently so trust what they've always done. Panicking about the passport in the taxi means that Dan checks the take-off time and realises they fucked up.

I blame them equally but I think Dans passport mistake was careless, because even though Phil fucked up with the taxi, they still would've had enough time if Dan had kept his passport in his carry on and not in his jeans. Its the one thing that you should know where it is at all times when you travel. However, I do think their frequent travel makes it more likely that they wouldn't have triple checked times. Which is completely both of their faults. I also blame Dan a little bit more than Phil because I really want to believe Dobby the house elf is stopping him going to America

I feel like an idiot but I had no idea/didn't even think about their outfits matching. That's super cute. Can anyone point me to some obvious pictures where this is the case? I'm intrigued now. Now I think about it, it reminds me of Korean couples who dress similar/matching to show they're together and how much they love each other. Which is pretty darn cute.

(Maybe that's their subtle way of letting people know?)

HQ of the Try Guys' skit. You can hear what they actually said in this one.
Deppy part @7:59

They threw in a "is the ship finally going to set sail" at the end there.

Well, this was as :sideeye: as I thought it was.

Interesting that there was an official video though! Does this mean they'll be releasing all of it in the coming days? I'd like to see the dnp portion and be able to understand the audio haha

So maybe I'm a horrible person... but I was actually laughing so hard at the deppy portion. I think it was done to poke fun at the fact that so many people ship them, and not in a disrespectful way. Just my opinion.

I wouldn't say that it makes you a horrible person, but for me, the punchline of their skit being dnp's sexuality and relationship makes it more uncomfortable than anything. This isn't limited to them, it's every joke that ends like that. This one wasn't as bad as some of the 'limp-wrist impression, haha look at how gay men act comedy' that was popular for being 'edgy' some time ago, but it falls into the same category for me.

Also, I do think that dnp are a (glass) closeted couple, so that influences how I viewed the joke as well. It's one thing for fans to speculate about the actions/words they let us see, but it's different when it's in the scope of a stage show like VidCon. It's especially jarring when you see the other YTers they were showing--like the two people they did before dnp: both of them were literally just their taglines. Seeing their colleagues deciding to do this kind of impression of them can't have been fun, either, especially since they came on stage right after.

What an amazing video, I'm all up for Dan and Phil jokingly messing around with each other (and 100% up for
Phil winning yessss
). The "Grindr" comment had me laughing, and Phil referencing Theresa May runnning through her fields of wheat honestly had me dying.

Phil getting all the signs was amazing, proud of u son.

(Dan put in the desc that he didn't know why he was so extra in the video, he thinks it was a long day. I personally find the banter amusing, but I'm guessing some people could read it as being scathing?)

Anyway, seriously loved the video. Would adore another one similar to it

at the beginning right after the grindr comment i had to pause the video for a second and wonder about this post-baking video universe we truly seem to live in now. i thought the video was amazing and they seemed to be having so much fun as well. living for dan trying to be sneaky and phil being all "i can't tell if you're being serious". also dan saying "lester" made me laugh out loud. a great moment in history. smh a bit at them guessing usa after reading "km/h" out loud and chile after seing a portuguese road sign. i didn't notice dan being particularly extra, any ideas what exactly he was referring to?

all in all i loved it a lot and hope they do it again (but oh well they got me with this the moment they said the word "cooperation").

BTW GUYS i have a wild theory after watching this video!!1 is it possible that dan might have done a-level geography at school?
thank's you were great

first, Dan using Grindr as an example instead of something like Tumblr is hilarious. Maybe it's not Tinder Dan's going to spon... ;)

Second, at around 9:57 mins Phil says something like "is she running through a field of wheat?" Phil making fun of Theresa May is something I didn't know I needed until now

the video was incredible! I was so happy when I saw the notification, geoguessr is one of my fave games anyway, both to play and to watch others play it.
The Grindr moment for sure was incredible, as was Phil's "not like Grindr" - because, well, the writing is exactly like Grindr, so the not like grindr comment was about the content, which, kind of made me happy. idk why
Awesome was also the (even if only joking) appearance of jealous!Phil about "Dan and Ben", yes, go joke about not loving each other enough when you clearly can't get enough of each other.
There was also a sweet moment where Dan couldn't figure out if Phil was joking or not, for some reason I loved that - similar to when Phil randomly said "T-Rex", looking at the broken forest, and Dan immediately knew what he was talking about.

All in all a wonderful video. Even though it was dvp and they were obviously very competitive, they seemed to genuinely enjoy the gameplay of figuring out where they are. I really really hope they play it again as co-op (oh and that little banter at the end about teamwork and how Dan will click and Phil will guess was adorable too), and take longer than just three clicks, to properly go look for all signs.
(I think maybe Phil "invented" the rule of only having three clicks because he knew otherwise Dan would be way too perfectionalist and take ages before deciding on a place to guess. That makes me happy, that he'd take things like this into account )

Pleeeease play again :)

Edit: Dan even apologized on twitter in reply to the video for being extra? what are you on about, mate? that was one of the cutest videos ever. is he referring to being so excited about the gameplay and so into it? because well, we love that. is he talking about hiding so adorably behind the board at the end? boy ... we love when you do cute shit. I get why he is apprehensive of people judging his behaviour, because that obviously happens constantly, but he didn't need to be unsure for this one, I think.

I stopped watching the video to say the same thing. It's pretty common knowledge that America doesn't use kilometers I'm assuming. I guess Dan just had a moment of stupidity.

I didn't think Dan was being extra either.

Oh my, I just had to create an account to say how bloody much I loved this new video!! Both of the boys seemed so loose and natural in it (the Grindr comment had me grinning so hard) and YES to Phil winning I think I'd have to go as far as to say this is my favourite gaming
video they've put out, I've already watched it twice... ok maybe three times and it's 2am Besides Dan's absurd DINOF video, which I completely missed the point of sadly, I feel like their recent content is hitting the mark constantly and I can't wait for more!!
[offtopic]I also loved Dan's comment about rolling the sticker into a spliff, right up my alley!! Has anyone else ever watched DnP's videos while high? It's such a strange experience.. I think I actually prefer them sober [/offtopic]
